People at this place show you something and ship something else; besides that, the roof panels have been impossible to align. Be careful dealing with them. The owners are always angry, walking around fighting with customers. All they do is ask you to pay cash. If you pay with a card, they charge you a 5% fee. Worst place I ever went to. The good at US Fence is far outweighed by the bad. It seems to be a fact that US Fence is Houston's low price leader in galvalume sheet metal. We found US Fence on Craigslist and they have a lot of sheet metal on site that the big box businesses need several days to order. Availability was very important to us since we had our workers building our horse barn. Our first trip we saved about 15% off our best local quote (down in Brazoria County....about 65 miles away). The place is easy to get to right off Highway 59 at Crosstimbers. Like others have correctly posted in previous reviews, the place is very poorly organized, very crammed in its setup and parking is nonexistent. Still, for $1.55 per linear foot galvalume, you need to overlook a few flaws. The service is exceptionally slow. That's not to say the workers are lazy......they absolutely work their tails off.....just too much work for too few employees. The office assistants are nice and reasonably helpful. The business seems to serve primarily a Hispanic customer base and if you do not speak Spanish, they will try to find an English speaker for you, but it can take a while. Almost 1.5 hours after prepaying, we watched the staff roll off our R Panel Galvalume off their impressive in house machine. Even though we had to ask for the business to offer us the advertised prices (they were about $30.00 higher than their Craigslist advertised prices), the polite female assistant pulled it off. The inventory is so poorly organized on the shelves and on the ground that you have to search for a particular color. We found our color. We were glad we made the trip. That really fell apart in our second trip to buy trim. My father in law spoke to Mike, the owner, who told my father in law (I heard the phone conversation) that painted R-Trim was $1.50 per foot......the same as we were quoted in writing 5 days earlier. Mike said that if they did not have it in stock, he could make it in less than an hour while we waited. He knew how far we were coming. When we arrived, Mike told us that we would have to wait until tomorrow for trim to be made......unless we wanted the white trim that was not the right color for us. He charged us $12.50 for a 1.5 linear foot piece of scrap sheet metal....over $8 per linear foot. He changed the price of the R-Trim to $1.75. Mike was extremely sarcastic and unapologetic. Mike told us that "your President Trump" and his steel tariffs caused last week's quote to go up 15% this week.....but the price is fair. He denied telling my father in law 2 hours before we arrived that he said $1.50 per foot. This ran us an extra $35.00. The abusive younger man I presume was Mike's son who could not believe we were "penny pinching" when we had saved money last week. Mike's son became more abusive as I asked again for them to honor the price they had quoted. Mike said again that I need to take the price up with Trump....no kidding....he actually said that. The thuggish young man told me to get the f*** off the property and to f*** myself. I told him he should never talk to a customer that way and was again told to f*** off. We are all for savings in our minor construction projects, but the US Fence is too abusive, too inconsistent and too dishonest for us to recommend to anyone. read more

They truly are not the best when it comes to customer services. Their process for giving you you steel is slow and cumbersome. You would think they wouldn't be in business because of service but I guess sometimes we put up with a little to get a better price, but is it worth it? I think not. read more

I read the bad reviews and really did not want to go. I went anyway because they had everything i needed at a great price. I talked to Mike on the phone and he gave me a quote and told me how long it would take to cut the tin I needed. Everyone there were super nice!! The customer service is so bad. We had 3 metal sheets that were damaged by they're own personal staff and when I went to say something the manager started cussing at us in front of everyone and told us he wasn't selling us anything anymore and to get the @&@& out. Terrible business. I bought 2k worth of R-Panel for a building and they filled the order with 2 shades of white. Who would want their brand new building different colors? In addition to the color issue, every piece was crinkled on the bottom left corner. I tried to exchange the 6 pieces of off white material and the owner proceeded to cuss me out. Called me a white piece of s*** and told me to go F myself. Not sure how this place stays in business BUT there they are. Buyer beware... They ROB people to their face here.... These are Junk dealers in discise selling inferior reject building materials as new they don't stand behind their product neither take returns or give refunds Once they got your money they are done with you and you are stuck with second or third world countries defected materials they paddle that don't stand up to building standards such as crooked rusty purlins that they are shorter or longer from what you order , galvanized roof tins that discolure stain and rust 3 days after you bought them and supposed to last 30 yrs???????!!!!!! Spend your money with somebody else instead that has customer service instead or talk to the owner ( hard or impossible to get ) or anybody of the bozzos there so they can educate you on what You did wrong and fill you up with excuses.... good Luck! read more

Christian seems to be the go to guy here but his business etiquette is not up to par with the business itself. I hope he is not the owner as he is representing the company horribly. I was sent to him by the office clerks and when I asked him about my 174 pieces of fence which I had ordered a little over a week ago he said it was ready and to look for a forklift guy to help. Once I did, I noticed the forklift gentleman kept moving equipment around without bringing me my fence, 20 minutes later I decided to ask Christian what's going on and he said he sold my fence which was ready and that he had to make my pieces all over again. As anyone would understand I was upset at the lack of communication from these employees as to why I had been waiting for 20 minutes without an explanation. I would've had no problem waiting if communication was involved regarding the delay. By this point as I'm sitting in their office waiting for my fence still...with enough time to write this review on top of already being cussed at by cristian after letting him know that my time is being wasted. He said if i had come to pick up my shit (his words) the next day all would've been good. Stay far, far away from these people. If I could put no stars I would. If you want to get assaulted, cursed, accused of being a thief and have racial names thrown at you, this may be your place. Otherwise as I stated ; STAY FAR AWAY. We waited for some roof panels to be cut and their guys loaded them on the truck with a forklift. Had them tied down and ready to go and the guy who loaded them came back and said we were trying to take too many pieces. Really??? We didn't cut or load them. We never even touched them. ????? The guy never looked at the end to count them in the truck he just said we had twice as many as we paid for. Again ????? How he could tell the difference between 8 and how ever many more is beyond me since they're not much thicker than heavy paper and the top panel extended past the ends other panels so you couldn't even see them. I unstrap them and he says again we are trying to take too many. I said we didn't load them and the time to check the order would be before it's loaded and we're ready to leave wouldn't it? He pulls all the panels and some other material we bought in a separate order off the truck and starts cursing us, calling us thieves and says we aren't buying anything there and is standing on the metal. The problem is we already bought and paid for it so he's stealing our panels. He's still calling us every foul name imaginable and I call the police. I went to get the address at the far end of the yard and left my brother by the truck. When I get back they have put the panels back in the truck. I'm still on the phone with police when my brother says cancel the call. As we are re-strapping the load so we can get out of Dodge a woman comes out of nowhere cursing at the top of her lungs, calling us thieves and telling us to get off her property. We tell her we are leaving as soon as the load is secure. That's not quick enough and she keep telling us to leave and get off the property. She videos for a second, then calls police, so I get my phone and video her while she talking to the police. She runs at me, grabs my phone and tries to rip it out of my hand, then wrestles with me holding my phone as I'm backing The guy who started all the trouble is right behind her and start coming around her to me. Both are in my space, I mean close space and I have to yell at them several times to get back as I'm now up against the side of the truck. I keep telling them to get back and they finally do, but the woman has to stop the troublemaker from charging me several times. Finally a guy who seems a little calmer comes. He asks me what happened. I tell him they loaded some stuff in the truck and then accused us of stealing all the while calling us MF's, F'rs , thieves, F'nig white boys (I'm 70) . He asks who loaded it and we get to tell him it's the guy who started all the trouble. He says he only drove the forklift, but he was there watching as his two helpers sorted and cut the panels at the far end of the yard and brought them to the truck while we waited. The new guy started talking to the driver and I could just tell he was convincing him we did something. The new guy never came over again and we were strapped down and left. Stay far, far, far away.
