I have nothing but respect for our Carrollton police officers. I'm…read moreso tired of the people who have no respect for authority or anything else for that matter. The police have a tough job, they watch over you and your property while you sleep. they come to your aid when you are in trouble. they don't get to spend holidays with family and friends because they are watching out for you. If a cop is behind you, you think they are there to harass you . Maybe its to make sure you are not a bad guy in our community. which keeps us all safe . GOD BLESS ALL POLICE OFICERS

On Feb 12, 2026 I was hit in my car by a hit and run driver. I had to follow the driver to their…read morehouse because the driver zoomed off and didn't stop. Once at the driver's house, I confronted the driver and alerted her that she hit my car. The driver stated that she didn't hit my car, so the police were called. I was told by the 911 dispatcher to stay in my car and don't approach. When the police got on the scene, they scolded me for following the driver and said that the driver could have "shot me." They didn't give the driver a sobriety test, didn't arrest her for the hit and run because she said she said she didn't hit the back of my car with the front of her car although the police saw the damage on both our cars. The police asked me how much damage I thought had occurred, and I thought maybe $500, and they in turned stated that they didn't need to write a report because the damage was under $2,000. The damage turned out to be over $2,000. I thought the police could have done their job better by checking out the driver and by doing whatever is supposed to happen when a driver flees the scene of the accident, and the police (three cars showed up) should have written a report. Isn't that their job?

I enclosed if a picture of what it looks like in Oath day because while I get that it may be crowded or maybe it's social distancing that explains why families aren't allowed inside. I don't know. But it's such a big day for them but it can't be witnessed by their loved ones. Benches outside would have been a nice alternative for families to wait as their loved ones came out with their certificates and flags.

Even with appointment - You will have a wait time so that is a bummer. Sometimes it's within 10 min of your appointment and others it can be 45 min. later. Mostly polite immigration staff. But be aware when sworn in only the individual will be allowed in that is being sworn in for naturalization . No others allowed. Even with handicapped people such as those using a walker. No exceptions unless your a translator, I believe, but in order to qualify for one you have to meet certain criteria. BUT the naturalization "ceremony" while by themselves is so quick!

I was with my dog, waiting on my company's roadside assistance and feeling pretty vulnerable. Chris Sorenson stopped, immediately reassured me, and promised he wouldn't leave until I was taken care of and he kept that promise. His calm, professionalism, and genuine kindness turned a scary situation into one where I felt safe and supported. He handled everything efficiently and with care, but more importantly, he showed up as a human when it mattered most. Five stars doesn't feel like enough. Thank you, Chris ...truly.

I was charged $129.45 in tolls for under 20 minutes of driving…read more This is not an opinion - this is based on actual billing records with timestamps, and I'm attaching a redacted copy of my statement to prove it. Here are the facts: Chisholm Trail Parkway - about 7 minutes of driving - $2.80 Completely reasonable and what any driver would expect. On Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express: Outbound trip - less than 7 minutes - $51 Return trip - after exiting Chisholm Trail Parkway, I was on local roads for roughly 5 minutes, then entered Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express again: About 11 minutes of travel - $78.45 Total on Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express: $129.45 When you look at the timestamps on the statement, these are not single tolls. They are multiple charges stacking up within minutes of each other, creating a total cost that is completely disproportionate to the time spent on the road. This is directly supported by the billing data. Final comparison: About 7 minutes on Chisholm Trail Parkway - $2.80 About 18 minutes total on Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express - $129.45 Same area. Same day. Within minutes of each other. There is no reasonable way for a driver to anticipate that one toll road would cost a few dollars, while another would cost over $100 for a similar duration of travel. If you're driving in this area: Do not assume toll roads are priced similarly Be extremely cautious using Tarrant Pkwy / North Tarrant Express Check your statements carefully No one expects triple-digit toll charges for short trips. In my opinion, drivers deserve far more transparency so they can make informed decisions before entering the road.

Vehicle registration: Arrived at 7:55 AM there was a line to get into the door they open at 8 AM. I was 16th in line. Doors were unlocked promptly at 8 AM. Everything was orderly, security at the door was also friendly and helpful with getting people to the correct side of the building depending on what they were needing to do. Once inside use the kiosk to check in and obtain a ticket number. Don't lose the ticket number because they will ask you for it when you get to the window. I was done by 8:30. The waiting area is rather small with pew style seating. It does fill up quickly, especially when you are trying to social distance and not sit right beside someone. There is limited standing area in the room. But you can wait in the hallway. Be sure to pay attention to the tv monitor that tells you what ticket number they are on, you don't want to miss your turn. You can pay with cash check or credit there is an additional fee to pay with a credit card. There are also signs posted about renewing your registration online. Be sure your vehicle has been inspected before coming to this office and waiting in line There is a small nice Veterans memorial out front. Great experience with extremely little wait time.

Wow. WHAT an upgrade. Welcome, Carrollton, to the 21st century…read more Any reason to need to hit this place for renewing registration (before it was online), do a title transfer, etc, used to be a decision. "Well, do I want to go try to get this title transferred or perhaps roll around in a cactus patch and then take a bath in a tub full of lemon juice? Hmmmm..." Both would be horrible experiences and leave you feeling like you wanted to die, but the cactus patch lemon bath sounded like the lesser of the evils. Now you can go online, see what the wait time is, and even get in line online. Oh JOY! I literally had no wait for my title transfer. It was like a religious experience. Angels singing. Light pouring down, warming my face. Just... beautiful. Perhaps my view is skewed because the previous bar was SO low, but I'll take it. Just google Sandy Jacobs Government Center and follow the link to tax collector assessor - if you're doing a title transfer or some other car registration related whatever. Scroll down to the Carrollton location and check out the wait time, and get in line online if there's a wait! Blammo!
