He took the time to understand what had gone wrong, explained everything clearly, and stayed with us until my mother's Medicare application was successfully completed. First, the library is beautiful. There are fountains, trees, and flowers. It's right next to the Orange Circle, so it's such a cute area. I will sometimes go for coffee in the Orange Circle after visiting the library. Friends Bookstore- This bookstore has the BEST selection of books. Outside is a bookcase of $0.25 books. Inside the book store, there are rows of books and they even have a kid/teen section. Books range from $0.50 to $1.50, with some special priced books (usually $3). Also, every month they have a special sticker color that indicates that those books as $0.50! I have gotten so many books here for myself, as gifts, and for work (I'm a school counselor and they have a section for mental health books in the kids section!). On Tuesdays, $1.50 books are half off for members. It's $12 a year for a membership but it includes $5 towards books and half off Tuesdays. TOTALLY worth it. I have gotten so many good and even newly released books here for $0.50-$3! It's really a steal! Everyone I have encountered working/volunteering there have been so kind and helpful. I genuinely LOVE coming here and browsing books and talking to the volunteers.

If you suggest meetings, rather than mitigate an easy fix problem, they just get rid of you. They even fired a coworker with no just cause. No warnings or coaching. It's mostly a money deal since he was due for a cola raise and annual raise. There was no performance based issues. We were there for two years. After detaining the man out front of the bar, he was yelling homophonic and racist slurs at 5-6 officers who managed to keep their posture, professionalism, and character despite the fact this man was attempting to push these officers over the edge. From what we could decipher, they had been following the man from another neighboring bar, but as a few of us lingered out front for about 1/2 hour on the patio sipping our drinks, it was very apparent that the officers on Tustins force that arrived to the incident were experienced, empathetic, and understanding to the man's apparent intoxication and didn't allow the slurs and aggressive language the man was shouting to even phase them. It was a textbook example of the way an incident should be handled and I was left feeling very proud as a Tustin resident that our Police officers acted so quickly, yet respectfully of this man's rights while detaining him peacefully and without an extensive use of force. Way to go TPD on how you handled the situation at Renz last night.
