I can't say THANK YOU enough to Dr. Bradley Temple, a Vet here!!!! He is WONDERFUL!!! What a compassionate human being!! My 2 small adorable dogs got a random bacterial infection in their lungs....I believe while on a walk from pollen or dust?! They have been gasping at air. So scary and awful. He got them on the right meds and they will be ok. Thank you God. It was REALLY scary for some time there. He's also a fantastic human being that has been so kind to me knowing a lot going on in my life. I'm new to Naples and did not know where to take my dogs. Thank God I found him. On a Sunday afternoon I knew my beloved 13 1/2 year old King Charles was dying As she started having breathing problems and then couldn't stand up. I did not want her to suffer and this was not going to wait for my normal vet. The staff at Urgent vet could not have been more caring. Your surroundings are calming, With a separate room with couch and chairs. Except for when they had to take my little girl to put A catheter in her paw, she was able to stay on my lap. They gave me the time I needed to be with her. And when it was time Dr. Alicea came in and got down on one knee to administer the medication. He was so gentle and caring, he made one of life's hardest moments so much easier. Anyone who has a pet knows this time will come. Just know that there are vets that do it better than most. Went in because I thought my dog had a UTI, showing very traditional symptoms of one. I went in they listened to her heart and lungs said everything sounds good. Shortly after speaking with the Vet she stated that it could be a UTI all the way to tumors. She was very vague. They brought in a Quote for over $800 with getting her every test in the book. Then quoted me $118 for 5 days worth of amoxicillin. Folks depending the dosage and that, you can get it for less then $30. I understand it's an urgent care and it'll be a little more Expensive. But, they instill fear and worst case to guilt you into spending more money. Shame on you. read more

I brought our 16 year old girl to UrgentVet when we saw blood in her urine. Everyone there is very nice and attentive. However, the treatment that my cat received was incompetent and a waste of money. The provided a battery of tests....x-rays, multiple blood analysis for $1300. They diagnosed my girl as having a UTI and prescribed amoxicillin. 2 days after the end of the amoxicillin, her symptoms returned. When I took our girl to her primary vet, the Dr pointed out that UrgentVen never performed a urinalysis, the most important test to determine a UTI and its cause. (The explanation from UrgentCat for not doing this test was our cat was stressed). So we spent $1300 with no effective result. The correct course of treatment would have been to administer a calming drug or to bring her back later for a urinalysis. Instead, they prescribed an antibiotic without performing definitive lab work of to determine if there was a UTI and the appropriate antibiotic to treat her. The expression "You get what you pay for" doesn't apply to UrgentVet.....you pay a lot a get a poor diagnosis and ineffective result. read more

We had an absolutely horrible experience at UrgentVet in Naples, Florida. We went on the internet and made an appointment for 11am for our rescue bichon dog who had diarrhea and was vomiting. When we arrived we signed in and they took us to a room and told us the wait will be about an hour. We were surprised because we were told appointments take priorities over walk-ins, however we realized there are some emergency situations that do pop up that might take priority. About an hour later, a young assistant came in and took some information about our dog, she also told us we were next in line to be seen by the doctor. We waited again for another hour and did not see the doctor! We were there in a waiting room for 2 HOURS, and during that time beside the assistant coming in to take information, not one person ever came into the room to tell us why we were waiting so long and when we should expect to see the veterinarian. We are visiting Florida from a different state and we never had to wait that long without any information given to us about why the appointment was taking so long especially with a sick animal. The people that work at this vet hospital do not seem to care about animals, to keep somebody waiting for two hours with a sick animal in a freezing cold room and not get any information is very discourteous and Inappropriate. If you have an animal that is sick and needs a doctor to give them medical attention, do not go to this facility, it is not customer friendly and absolutely terrible, find another place that love animals because this place could care less! read more

OK, whatever you do do not go to this place!!! I had to make the tough decision to euthanize my Sphynx cat Luna because she was going through extreme pain. She was skin and bones, and at this point she couldn't eat or drink without vomiting or diarrhea, which wasn't even coming out anymore. You could see that she was an extreme pain. Due to the holiday weekend, I would not be able to see my vet who I've been working with for a few weeks now on this issue which was not getting better. I knew there was a bigger picture to this. But I could not stand to see herself suffer anymore. I called this urgent vet to euthanize my little girl, not for a second opinion. I already have a vet. On the phone I explained to the situation and when I got there, I explained to them again. She's literally 5 pounds, she can't eat or drink, and she is constantly meowing. I knew she was in pain, but the incompetent doctor opted out of euthanizing her because they wanted me to do more procedures to her the doctor said he will not help me. I could not believe that them trying to upsell me over the health and comfort of my dying little girl. I even said "you're going to let her be in pain " and he said yes. Because I was not going to put her through anymore procedures. he was not going to help me. He actually said "give it a week, and then we can always euthanize her. So he would rather put her through more pain, which I don't think to be honest with you her little body could do anyway. He had no right to give me a second opinion, I was not there for a second opinion. my cat is clearly in pain and done. I highly do not recommend you take any animal that you love to these people they will try to upsell you and if you don't do what they want, they will not help you. I was calling around for hours trying to find a vet however nobody around seems to take new clients, until I found this place that is urgent care only and takes new clients and even walk ins. Staff was very friendly. Credibility went down when the vet tried to convince me my dog has dermatitis about the brown spots in his hair that have been there since birth. He kept telling me it's dermatitis and it's not at all. I also wasn't pleased about having my dogs ear cleaned without asking for my permission, because I am a groomer and can perfectly do that myself and don't need to be charged $55 for it to be done, I left it dirty to show the ear infection. The care was fine for the rest. The aftercare not so much. The vet told me he had to discuss further with the radiologist and would inform me, and would also recommend me a place to get new x rays in the morning however I never heard back. Even worse the next day a stranger I never met did the obligatory follow up call and she was straight up rude. She told me to "go on Google and find another vet" when I told her I don't have a primary for my dog as we only moved recently. I also asked about the vet informing me and she said he's not present and I gotta do with his notes she has - that's it. I paid $2k for this rude type of call that was honestly completely unnecessary because you did it because it's office policy not because you had any interest in the condition of my dog - clearly because I had to just "go on Google" if I wanted anything further. Even the care was fine, this was shocking. For $2k a 24h call taken more seriously with some empathy is expected. I feel I walked out the door and as my money was cashed, my case was closed, and promises were forgotten. Never heard back from the vet about the radiologist. read more

Outstanding pet care facility. Dr. Temple and VetTech Kassandra were very thorough in their exam of my ill cat. Recommendations and a treatment plan were clearly explained. My cat received a comprehensive workup and initial medications which positions her nicely for her usual vet to recommend next steps. Both providers were excellent, respectful and caring. Our beautiful and amazing Ripley who spent 16 years blessing us with his joyful, loyal, adventurous spirit and personality had reached a point where it was evident he needed to finally rest. Our hearts were breaking as we entered Urgent Vet. We were met with a kind ,caring and understanding staff who did everything to make us comfortable. The atmosphere was a comfortable room with a soft pad with a blanket on the floor for a cover. Not one bit of the room felt medicinal. They explained everything very clearly and then gave unlimited time with our Ripley. Every decision was at our convenience. Then to our amazement they offered for the doctor to come into the room we were in for the complete procedure so we didn't have to move Ripley any more than we had too. when the doctor did come in, he didn't rush us. He was kind and caring. He loved on Ripley and we truly had faith that he cared. We never would have believed we would have had this experience in this situation. The staff was extremely caring and patient, especially considering we visited on New Year's Eve. Dr. Temple even came out to our car to talk to us and give us all the results of the tests. They made the process of putting down our cat so peaceful. Five stars for the staff and vet. read more

I will NEVER return to this facility & highly suggest anyone who does, ensure they get a second opinion prior to signing on the dotted line. Perhaps avoid this place altogether as they give you an ultimatum into doing things you're not okay with. Extremely dissatisfied with their service to say the least. Called UrgentVet 6/14 at 8:45ishPM to see if I could bring my pet in for a wound. The person who answered the phone stated three separate times, "We close at 11PM", I told her I understood but it was only 9PM & I could be there in 25 minutes. Upon arriving, the front door was locked, I rang the doorbell, a lady came to unlock the door. I signed into the kiosk & waited until I was called back. Xena, my dog, was alert, walking, eating, tail wagging at time she was brought in to be seen. No fever, Dr. looked at Xena, touched the area, she did fine. No whining, no flinching, nothing. The Dr recommended X-rays, blood work, give pain meds to clean the wound and bandage it up ($1500+). I declined pain meds as I did not believe they were necessary; Xena was perfectly fine while being inspected at home and by the Dr. I declined x-rays & blood work as I will do those with Xena's regular vet when I follow up. Dr came to notify me I need to do the pain meds as "Xena only behaved because I was there & she is comfortable with me." I reiterated to the Dr. I do not want to give her something if she does not need it, especially if it's going to make her lethargic. Dr. left the room, the vet-tech came back and stated they would send me home with medications. I asked are you were not going to clean and bandage it now? Vet tech said Dr will not clean & bandage because I did not authorize pain meds. Therefore, I was "stiff armed" into paying for unnecessary pain meds to get the area cleaned. I paid $558 for services. Xena was carried out by staff because she could not walk. Wednesday night, Xena did not walk. Thursday morning, Xena did not walk. She barely ate, went to the bathroom once all day. My husband and I had to carry her on a blanket to take her outside. Friday, I called her normal vet to see her as she was still not walking or eating much. Xena's regular vet read the notes UrgentVet sent over, he examined Xena, and immediately knew what she had. He was dumbfounded on why UrgentVet would wrap her in a tight bandage stating, "caused her wound to worsen quicker and become messier." Causing her skin to literally decay. He said Xena needed to be in a loose t-shirt so the wound would heal and dry out, not sit soaking. He stated UrgentVet is a newer facility, which I was unaware of. It was confirmed with a second opinion that Xena was mistreated for her symptoms causing her issue to severely worsen overnight. Once the bandage was removed and properly treated, Xena was walking and eating again. I called UrgentVet three separate times to explain what Xena's vet discussed with me and asked to be credited the difference for work being done that did more harm than good to my pet. Each time, I was told I needed to speak to the Office Manager, Janelle. I left a message three times with no response. Finally, yesterday, five days later, I received a call. Janelle sent Xena's treatment to the Regional Medical Director who saw nothing wrong with what was done. Anybody who sees this will know Xena's treatment was not done properly. read more

Tigger's, my 22 yrs old tabby cat right nasal was congested and UrgentVet was recommended by a veterinarian office who wasn't available to see him immediately. Easy appt online within an hour. Staff and veterinary was professional, informative, gave Tigger snack treats and even some to take home. Tigger loved it! They took very good care of Tigger. This place is very caring. On short notice on a Saturday night I had to take my cat for euthanasia ,which they provided & arranged for cremation. Very efficient & nice staff. Some weeks later I received a "So sorry for your loss" greeting card. Everyone on staff wrote a little condolence message. I hadn't even met most of the staff & I know other vets do this too, but it is appreciated none the less, that they take the time to do that!!
