Who are they: They sell water, sewer and drain products Cast iron , abs, hdpe, copper, aluminum. Why would a home owner need them. If you are a do it yourselfer! That's why! Paying a contractor, an engineer, etc to put in a septic could cost 15-25,000 in anchorage. F()k that! I was off the grid. But wanted a legit septic. Core and main sells schedule 40 plumbing pipe. French drainpipe. Manhole covers... I picked up 10' pipe 90-45 degree fittings Splices , valves, t's, caps and glue. Geo textile fabric to keep dirt from my " French drain" to keep my property dry The best part. I wanted a 20' section of hdpe for a well. Holy Moses. This stuff is like gold in Alaska. It's a thousand dollars plus...and is sold like hot cakes. Road construction sucks it up. I wanted 36 or 48" Hard to acquire sizes. Ferguson..... special order. Another place..... special order. I'm not totally sure who the main customers are here . Subdivision creators? The state? Cities? They were so accommodating to this small ( not to me) customer. Helped me load, smiled , asked questions. Answered questions. I was incredibly surprised this low overhead, outdoor lot , construction focused , PROFESSIONAL, outfit. Held me by the hand and Sold me what I needed...,NOT what I asked for ! My review scratches the surface. They sell From what I can tell. Anything for your business. Where the utility stops. I can't say enough good about how professional, personable, dependable, and thorough he was. I really felt like I was in good hands. Ed went above and beyond to protect my home from damage and also did a very thorough clean up. He did a meticulous job. The job was started within days of my first contact and finished quickly. I am very grateful for AlasCo's professional crew and most specifically for Ed. I have had some horrible experiences with contractors in the past so it was wonderful to deal with a solid company. I am very satisfied with AlasCo and Ed from first contact to finished project. The total cost was so much lower than other quotes we got. For widow on a fixed income that was AWESOME! They will definitely be my go-to company if I should have need in the future. I have already referred them to some of my single gal friends!

There are gaps everywhere and the sales person didn't even have the integrity to come check it out and make it right. He said he was going to, but then didn't. They got their money and that's all they care about. I suggest using another company, but if you use them you should be onsite checking them as they go. As Alas-Co has stated in their response, I am not a professional insulation installer. They are correct, I'm not a professional, but I do know there shoudn't be uneven or missing spots, the spray foam shouldn't be separating from the walls and that they did not follow through on what I was told was going to be done. The project manager's "attempt" to make things better was to tell us over the phone that he was going to come inspect the project, but then he never actually came to inspect the project. As I stated at the beginning, one employee did do a very nice job and was very nice.
