I ordered a birthday meal at 17:36 via Uber Eats, it arrived at 18:17 STONE COLD and with some items undercooked. I initially complained to Uber Eats who blamed the restaurant. I called and spoke to the manager, Charlie, today who pushed back the complaint to Uber Eats. He didn't offer any form of compensation for 2 cold inedible mains and for the undercooked side I would have to come into o the restaurant and spend more money. Nor a sincere apology for a ruined birthday meal. We spent £46 on a cold inedible/unenjoyable meal. I have also had to spend several hours being pushed from pillar to post as no one takes responsibility for fixing the issues. Customer service is non existent. Working as an Event Manager and having been recently venue based in Carnaby Street I can absolutely say I would NEVER leave a repeat customer so unhappy. Word of mouth from unhappy customers is extremely damaging. Previously I would have been happy to recommend this venue but due now primarily to the managers handling of my complaint this will now not be the case. A customer with a ruined birthday is not going to forget quickly. In a cost of living crisis, a customer willing to spend with you should be appreciated.

Both my partner and me went for main courses from the special board - couldn't be any more happy about it. Baked goats cheese as starter and Meatballs tagine and hake fillets with seafood as mains. Nice selection of wines and beers. The mains came with vegetables which was really nice! Bill was £50 and we paid really happy. We'll be back.

Before Med Food Co, I found myself at a chain sandwich shop, so this has been a nice change for me. When they first opened, this was a takeaway place only... now they have a few tables and chairs so you can have a seat while you eat. The menu isn't massive, but sometimes simplicity is better. The food is delicious and I've not had a bad lunch yet. They offer a light breakfast menu with pastries, porridge, and omelette wraps. For lunch you can have a wrap, a rice box, or a salad box. While it isn't on the website, they also have a deal where you can have a half and half wrap... last week I tried a half chicken and half Halloumi wrap. While I like the wraps, I really like the rice box. Today it was a Lamb Kofte Rice Box. 2/3s of the box is filled with buttered rice, 1/3 fresh slaw (red cabbage, white cabbage, and cucumbers with a slice of lemon... no mayo), and the rice is topped with your choice of meat (or Halloumi or Falafel). There is also a choice of three different sauces: mint yogurt sauce, chili sauce, and/or barbeque red pepper sauce. If that isn't enough they have wonderful desserts: custard tarts, baklava, brownies, and lovely meringues. Today they the meringues were Rosewater flavoured and were a beautiful pink and purple colour. They also have specialty items that you can buy... Turkish salsa, olives, feta, peppers, spices, Apple tea, and Turkish coffee. You can call ahead if you are in a hurry and they are now available on Deliveroo. The most expensive item on the menu is £8, so you can definitely get lunch for under £10 and there are a number of options for under £5... so very much a good value!

The options here are great, especially for vegetarians or vegans. They do wraps, burgers and rice boxes, with plenty of choice from meat, humous, or falafel options. My personal recommendation is the falafel wrap with sweet potato fries as a side, so delicious! Every thing on the menu is great value for money, with no meal option exceeding £10.

Sometimes, it's the little touches that make a real difference you know? This is one reason I like…read moreAntalya. I must confess that Turkish / Greek food isn't my favourite type, but I do like it for a change now and again. Once you are seated at Antalya and your drinks order has been taken, warm strips of a flat bread will be brought to your table, alone with dishes of olives and pickled peppers (the ones that look like large chillies, but are not spicy as such). These are free, and you can nibble on them as you decide on your order. There are a wide range of hot and cold starters, with my favourite being a 'mezze' selection...a small plate with around 8 or 10 items on it, e.g. hummous, taramasalata, some kind of bean salad, a meatball, stuffed vine leaf, a 'burek' (sort of a cheese samosa) and some other bits. Want some more free bread to mop things up with? Just ask. Main courses consist of a lot of lamb and chicken dishes, with some fish and vegetarian options too. My recommendation is the Iskendar kebab, a dish containing a mixture of meats in a tomatoey sauce, served over pitta bread. If you have room for dessert, the trolley appears to be well stocked with cakes and traditional Turkish baklava...very sweet pastry affairs, sometimes nutty, and dripping with syrup or honey. Too sweet for my tooth, but each to their own. If you decide not to have a dessert, your meal will still be rounded off by a free shot of a fruit liqueur, usually on offer is banana, cherry, strawberry, and possibly one other. Also, a plate of free fruit is served which is great to cleanse the palate, but also great as a free alternative to dessert, if you didn't fancy one of the heavy offerings from the trolley. The staff are attentive without being overbearing, and they are very friendly. One waiter overheard my brother saying how much he liked the apple tea they served there, and he went into the kitchen and came out with a pack of the stuff for him to take home. I don't know if this is a family run restaurant, but it certainly has that feel. When the bill comes, if you've had a couple of drinks then don't expect any change from a 20 if you had a starter and a main course. I never feel cheated when paying the bill here, as I do feel that the little 'extras' add a lot of value to the dining experience. The ambience is relaxed and friendly, great for couples, families or group bookings...a good all-rounder in this respect.
