Most importantly is they always cut my hair exactly like I asked them to. Now, here is the incredible part, $15 is all they charge, so I win two ways, cheap hair cut and great hair cut. Prices vary depending what you want done of course, there is a price list on the wall just inside the entrance on the wall to the left. This is my experience of my barber but I cannot tell you how they go with women's hair other than they all seem very happy when they have left. I give them a big two thumbs up. I see lot's of kids getting there hair cuts here and they all look happy and so do there parent's. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Really great hair salon & Emily always does a fantastic job on me…read more. I know it would be cliche to compliment Fratelle on how welcoming they are or their great customer service because, let's face it, these are the core components of any hair salon. However I have been to places where the person who looked after me was (excuse me for me direct) rubbish and it was as if they were being friendly because it is part of their job specs. Somehow I don't feel like this at Fratelle - you don't get the fake smile and the staff are really good + you get a complimentary drink as well!

I couldn't help myself, had to ask the receptionist about the kind of woman who buys them - she swore it was all kinds, from mums right through to your skanky stripper-types. I'm still convinced it's 99% the skanky stripper type and only 1% mums. Tacky vaginal jewels aside, Brazilica is a pretty good salon. It's hygienic, they use quality wax and know their way around your bits. They can also wax your other body parts (who wants to look hot in a bikini but still be sporting a moustache?) and do men's bits too. All the products they use are naturally based and organic where possible, which I appreciate. If you want to get a good deal, become a fan of Brazilica on Facebook and you'll see any specials and promotions they have.

I have been to quite a few waxing places over the years (including one in Italy that I nearly sued…read morefor grievous bodily harm, but that's a story for another time), and I consider myself very well-versed in the good, the bad, and the horrid in this field. Brazilica gets it right. They use a distinctive waxing method that hardcore Melbourne wax fanatics would recognise from the leading salons in the city, and it's the method that hurts the least, looks the best, and grows back in the least offensive way. As mentioned by Erin M, you can safely book an appointment with any of the waxers here and relax in the knowledge that you'll get the same quality as last time. They encourage you to feed back on their handiwork, and you can have the salon principal review things just to make sure. You can book online, and it's easy to get an appointment - no 4-week wait to see someone. I highly recommend these guys. I've only been to the Smith Street salon, but wouldn't hesitate to try the Brunswick location.

My experiences with Hennesy Lane were both great and disastrous…read more After an at-home colour went wrong, I came here requesting a colour specialist and got a fantastic colourist who fixed my hair and left me with fabulous looking locks. Over the next few visits however, she rapidly took me a lot blonder than I had asked to be, leaving me with really damaged hair. I loved the colour, but not the damage than went along with it. So I asked to go a darker shade, and that's where things went pear shaped. I came out of the salon with reddish hair that had black ends- NOT CUTE! I went back and asked that they fix the colour and the solution they came up with was to pour bleach on my hair and strip the colour out. Anyway it was a disaster that two years later I am still trying to grow out. Moral of this story? I think I should seriously stop messing around with my hair.
