My cut is a pretty basic mid-length Bob so I've never had difficulty getting exactly what I want. However my Mum is very particular about her cuts - she loves Paul & makes a point of going to his salon everytime she is in Melbourne.

This was probably the worst hairdressers experience I've had…read more I want to note that the staff at the salon had beautiful manners, apart from continuously calling me Jessica which is not my name. Manners aside I was extremely disappointed in the outcome. I came for a full head of foils and a cut. Usually something that takes two hours, maybe 2.5, and never costs more than two eighty; but these guys charged $400.00, and the whole process took an exhausting 5.5 hours. The whole experience was painful, literally. They didn't take care when it came to scraping the comb along my scalp. Pulling, tugging on my hair. Ripping out the foils along with some of my hair. And at the end when they were drying, the girl burnt my ear with the hair straightener....more than once. I told the hairdresser I need my hair long enough to tie back as I work in Allied Health and can't have my hair flying all over the place. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and asked her if she could recreate the style as best as she can, reminding her to keep my hair at a certain length. She kept cutting, and cutting, and cutting. I could hear the sound of the scissors creeping closer to my ears, but trusted she would keep it long enough. She ended up cutting it so short I can't even run my pinky finger through it. The cool blonde I asked for lasted no more than two weeks before it turned to crimson. It looks hideous and it's barely been three weeks. I don't know what's happened, I've never had this problem before, and I am a natrual blonde was just trying to go lighter, not orange. All this pain for $400.00 not worth it. And with all the pain, I would rather sit through another tattoo.

The clientele were quite diverse: trendy women, middle aged businessmen, normal mother with child and then a woman who looked in late 70s having a great chat with her hair dresser who was a heavily tattooed young man showing her photos on his phone which were either of his children or pets. This is my experience of my barber but I cannot tell you how they go with women's hair other than they all seem very happy when they have left. I give them a big two thumbs up. Hacked my hair and didn't make it right…read more I've been going to this salon for four years and seeing the same stylist. Recently, the stylist made a mistake that had to be rectified by cutting my hair very short. I hate the cut and asked to come back a few days later for some more adjustment. I also requested a meeting with the owner to discuss being charged for the adjustment cut. I was told by email that I would be granted no meeting and that she believes the cut to be the result of a "mutual misunderstanding." Even though the stylist told me last week that he would adjust the cut if I requested it later, this has apparently now been retracted. I have been a loyal customer of this salon for years, and have even weathered another botched cut with them. The stylist made a mistake in the cut and acknowledged it at the time. Our four-years long relationship started when another stylist made the same mistake, and he started correcting it. I recommend that you try another salon if you want to work with people who will acknowledge loyalty, address concerns cooperatively, and seek to build a relationship.

They are very personal with each person, and I really would be wrapped if I worked here because all the staff are all so lovely and friendly. I have had beauty done there regularly, hair and makeup. They have the best foot pedicures and use great quality products. I have even received a bottle of wine each time around Christmas to say thank-you for being a regular! Its a great salon if to go to if you are a girl wanting quality and great service. Its not a cheap salon to go to but the prices are worth what you receive.
