If I could give them 10 stars I would. Easy to schedule if you need pick up and cannot drive to their location (that was me due to recent surgery) they text you with an ETA and VERY friendly driver. My Club just had 10 computers replaced. Much of our data is confidential and there was a great concern about how to securely dispose of our computers. Our tech support team, Alliance IT, recommended Urban E Recycling, even though they could have made hundreds for doing the job themselves. Urban E Recycling came to Venice to pick up our computers (within a week's time), took pictures of what they picked up, destroyed the hard drives, sent us a video of them doing the shredding, and then sent us a certificate showing that the work was completed in a secure fashion. AND - all FREE. Who does that these days? All I can say is WOW. Unbelievably professional and well done! read more

Wow, this is so great! After collecting dust and taking up space in my house for a few years, my old desktop, 2 laptops & even older fliptop phones were picked up by a super nice guy, right at the time I reserved online, at my house, and recycled by this smart free service. He answered my questions, was upbeat and courteous. A few days later I got my certificate of destruction (who knew that was a thing??) by email, along with a video showing the hard drives & CDs being put into a grinder. I had to change my preferred pick-up date/time by two days to accommodate their schedule, so we settled on a one-hour window this morning. I waited but the one hour came and went... no truck, no call. I tried to call them and it went to voice-mail. I did finally hear from them four hours after they were supposed to be here and they said... they were sorry but the truck got held up. They had no explanation for why no one bothered to call me. Sarasotans beware... they seem to have good intentions but I think this Tampa outfit should stick with Tampa. read more

my boyfriend and his brother just moved into their new apartment, and we wanted to recycle the leftover boxes. we originally went to USF to recycle but they were closed, assumably due to covid. we came to the urban e recycling to see if we could possibly deposit what we had. a man, whose name i did not catch, came over to us and informed us that they only receive electronic recyclables at the location. we were expected to have to find somewhere else. however, he offered us their own recycling bins and assisted us in depositing our recycling. after we had finished, he offered us succulents from their cancelled earth day event! incredibly helpful and kind. read more

How could you say anything else about this unique, professional & FREE service. Our Accounting Department held an old, 75 pound, multi-use, copy machine which awaited pickup from an area representative of our corporate office. After several follow up calls and no response, the machine took up our space for several months. I was introduced to Urban E Recycling through our local Chamber office.
