She gave one pillow to my dad and the other to me as Christmas gifts. Shortly thereafter, we discovered that the paint used to stencil the letters and numbers on the pillow was water soluble and wiped off with a damp paper towel. It would have been impossible to wash or even spot clean the front of the pillow case without also removing the stenciling. Today, well beyond the 14-day return policy stated on the receipt, my mom and I brought the pillows back to the store to see if there was anything we could do to protect the paint on the front of the pillow case (Scotchgard wasn't going to cut it). As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted by an associate. We briefly explained our concern to the associate, and then without even batting an eye or even checking our receipt he apologized, stated that he was unaware of this issue, and immediately offered to exchange the pillows for other merchandise. We ended up selecting different Buffalo-themed pillows. Room offers beautiful contemporary furniture and home decor, and after spending time looking around the store and observing the quality of their merchandise, it's obvious that the faulty pillows were an anomaly and in no way typical of the products sold by Room. My mom and I were both impressed with this customer service experience and appreciate the attention we received.

Creative Storage Systems is located on Linden near Delaware Avenue. It happened to be Black Friday, and although we were avoiding shopping, it wasn't too busy inside. Diana was a tremendous help as we were looking for a manly closet renovation. She listened to HoneyPie tell his saga about "parting the Dead Sea" of clothes to get to the pathetic shelving behind his shirts and mishmash of trousers, ties and ahem, Crocs mixed with Steve Maddens. Yeah, it was a mess. With the dimensions of our space, and inspired by some neat ideas on the floor, they put together a perfect solution! It was a DIY for us, although they do install, and we even picked up some cool pants hangers and other organizational goodies. If you don't get it when you see it, you probably will always mean to but won't. It's a tremendous improvement and what a difference organization makes to your life, really. Couldn't be happier. There is a workshop attached to the store where the custom projects are built. Local, yes please! We removed the existing closet in the room, opened a passage through the master bedroom closet to connect the adjoining 4th bedroom/future closet, and had the hardwood floor repaired(where the.bedroom closet was removed) and resanded and sealed the floor. Design expert, James Harasimowicz, made me my dream closet! Every detail I asked for was included with a design flair I never could have accomplished on my own. There are places for short hanging items, longer hanging items, shoes, a vanity with drawers for makeup, another set of drawers elsewhere for jewelry, additional sectioned drawers for undergarments, a hanging rack for belts, a floor to ceiling architectural mirror, valet bars, shelves for folded items, a hidden drop down ironing board, and much more. The pass thru closet to the master is for my husband and on one side has a built in chest of drawers (8) with a handsome top and a mirror above. The other side has a wall closet unit with a bottom and top row for hanging clothes on the left and open cubbies for clothes and shoes on the right. On either side of that unit is a hanging rack for ties on the left and a hanging rack for belts on the right. I cannot say enough good things about James and his installation crew. It does take time. James needs to know what your wardrobe consists of, in order to provide you with the proper closet pieces. He then needs to show you design options in their Linden Ave. (near Delaware Ave.) showroom. Once decisions are made, the pieces must be made to order and an installation must be set up. Every minute of the wait is worth it. I have the closet of my dreams and the envy of all my friends. They delivered on time and on budget- which to be honest is a rarity in most trades. Brian and his team built a custom full wall of cabinetry and shelving that looks beautiful. A couple months later I engaged them to build a custom inset drawer dresser to be built in to the existing shelf work i had. Brian was at my house when promised; and did exactly what was requested. The work looks great and we couldn't be happier. I. Have another project in the works for them now which I know will be great; and I'm already dreaming up how another of my sons can utilize these guys to build a custom depth bathroom vanity in his new house.
