I read the great reviews and decided on Trivium. I'm so glad I did. Marissa was great! My appt was 9:45 -1pm ish. I came in a few days before for a consultation. I wanted a bright red color. Had my hair that color before and I really missed that look. Marissa took the time to explain to me the challenges of getting my hair that color and also maintenance. (Avoid washing frequently, wash in cold water, use hair color products) I really appreciated that. Because my natural hair -black was already growing out and much of it was blonde the team collaborated and recommended dark red up top and bright red at the bottom. The process was obviously a process :) Marissa was a professional and def attentive throughout. She made sure I didn't leave with any red dye color on my ears or face. Coming here was such a delight! I asked for a simple, one-length cut, which should be basic, yet it was not executed well despite her claiming 16 years of experience. She spent a lot of time talking and trying to make it seem like I, the customer, was wrong or didn't understand hair. If the result had matched all that confidence, fine. But talking a lot and then failing to deliver is not good customer service. I'm really disappointed and now have to pay someone else to fix the uneven, poorly done work on my hair. I really wish I could get a full refund.

The salon is well designed, has appealing decor and a delightful feel. We were greeted by a welcoming, friendly, and helpful woman at the desk (who I presume is the salon owner). She made it easy to get my daughter in for a hair cut today. Today, Ella did an awesome job...my daughter's cut and dutch braids with hair charms came out fresh and fun! I got a color correction with Samantha (Sammi) Lau here after a horrible highlight/balayage went…read morewrong elsewhere as my hair came out this orange-copper mess that just wasn't it. Sammi took it from that to a really lovely beige blonde, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. The correction took about 4 hours and ran roughly ~$120/hour, which felt fair given how much work went into fixing it. I waited to post this until it had grown out some, because that's the real test of a good color job, and it's held up seamlessly. No weird line where the old color meets new growth, no brassiness creeping back in. That tells me she really got the formula right, not just a quick fix that looks good for two weeks. If you've had a color disaster somewhere else, Sammi's your girl. So glad I found her!
