While passing through Bari on our vacation In Puglia, my husband and I found this great restaurant with a unique concept: a pay-by-weight system where you fill your plate with anything you want to any amount you want. This was perfect for us as we were able to taste several local specialties in one meal and all for a very reasonable price. It seems the menu, written on a large chalkboard above the hot buffet bar, changes daily and differentiates between vegetarian and meat dishes. The food was excellent. The numerous diverse dishes offered did not take away from the superb quality of each dish. I should know because I tried nearly everything! There were appetizer, side, main, and dessert course options (including a build-a-salad area). The best part is that the owners and chef speak English, so they were able to describe each dish to us in great detail. There was also a bar-like area near the front window where you can bring in your laptop, chill, and work away with FREE WI-FI. There were also electrical plugs for charging, a rare necessity lacking in most other Puglian cafes/restaurants. I highly recommend -- this place is only a 7-10 min walk from the central train station! read more

Surely the right place where to have the meal!!! I've been there for a business lunch meeting. We got really impressed by it. It's just up to you, What & How much food you will have for eating. Food: Top Quality ingredients to create several different dishes. Wide selection to meet different needs, also for vegetarian people. Mostly it is about the authentic Bari & Apulia's cooking tradition, with also some modern dish. Nice wine and amazing coffe(espresso). Place: centrally located,quiet, cozy, involve you to socialize with other people are having lunch close to you. Service: Staff well educated, professional but at the same time friendly. The delicious food and the excellent place make it the best concept I've ever experienced so far! I really recommend this place either if you are in group or alone. Best place for travellers. You can take food as much as you like, than weight the plate and you pay. Either in group or alone, you can sit in very large social table. And during the morning and the afternoon you can taste delicious homemade sweeties and sip an hot chocolate or very typical italian cappuccino, using your personal pc with the free wifi or reading a book, remaining as long as you wish. The stuff is very king, the food delicious. I'm sure that I'll come back there a lot of times during my Erasmus! read more
