I was also thrilled to see that Beautycology exclusively features Lira Clinical, which is a plant-based, cruelty-free skin care line made in the USA. If you've never experienced a clinical facial you're in for a real treat with Irish Rivero. Her medical background is a big plus as she is clearly knowledgeable with skin and has a real passion for her work. She customizes each facial to your individual needs and does a great job of explaining each step of the treatment and what product she is using, which I appreciate. Because she's a one woman operation in a small commercial suite, it's a very relaxing experience and one that I thoroughly enjoyed. Irish is so friendly and welcoming! She even gave me instructions on how to access the building since it was technically after hours. I have been to 2 other head spas and this was by far the best experience. Maiyana introduced herself and explained how the process would go and what products she would use. First she analyzed my scalp and let me know how it was looking. She said it was pretty healthy. She then gave me a button towel to change into and put on my top and stepped out of the room and told me to open the door when ready. First she started with dry hair play which was super nice and I had not experienced this at the other Head Spas. She then proceeded to wash my hair, Massage my head/scalp, face/facial, and shoulders/neck. She had also checked in on me to see how the pressure was and if I wanted relaxing music or just quiet. I chose the relaxing music. The hour flew by so quick, I even fell asleep for a bit because I was so relaxed! She finished off with a blow dry and offered me snacks, water, and tea.
