Dr. Mcinnis has been a great orthodontist to me as well as my child and my wife. I have nothing negative to say about his practice. Oral correction is expensive and seems very high priced but with most things involving health care everything seems to be going up. He is very good at explaining his correction plan from the beginning. When I had my braces for a bite correction I ended up having them longer than first initially thought but with hindsight now I realize that it was only in my best interest to hold my teeth in place and stop my teeth from returning by memory. My little one has had to have extensive work done by Dr. Mcinnis. He is very good with children making them feel comfortable seeing him. That was one of the things that I noticed first hand especially since it was my child. My wife also had had braces all her life by other orthodontist that did not do her teeth correctly resulting in a severe case of TMJ. Dr Mcinnis looked at her twice over the last couple years and the issue was the other orthodontist only concentrated on making her teeth straight and not the consequences of her bite. Most people will only get on Yelp to bash someone over a bad experience and I'm sure not all cases are the same. In my case I would highly recommend Dr.Mcinnis to any of my family or friends without thinking twice. read more

My family and I moved here from a large metropolitan area a few years ago. Dr. McInnis far exceeded our expectations in selecting another orthodontist for my child! I had consultations with two other orthodontists in this area and quickly recognized a difference. He has an excellent chair side personality and totally related to my teenage son. His interaction with the other patients was more than pleasant. It was outstanding! During every visit he kept me totally abreast of my son's treatment and always took the time to answer each question directly and honestly. We had to coordinate care with our primary dentist for additional dental work and he and his staff communicated directly with them to ensure things were done as he expected. We were 100% satisfied with our experience at Upstate Orthodontics in Clemson, SC. Dr. McInnis and his staff were always caring and concerned with keeping us updated. The office was cozy and welcoming. We never had any complaints. The issues my daughter had were not only causing her to lack the confidence to smile, but were also causing her daily pain, especially when eating. We thought for sure that it would take months to even pretend to begin noticing changes, but within the first month after getting her braces we saw drastic positive changes and the issue-associated pain was completely gone! Treatment did take about a year and a half longer than initially planned, but it did not cost us any extra and I am grateful Dr. McInnis took more time rather than just rushing the braces off, setting my daughter up for more problems down the road and leaving one unhappy mama. I have personally known Dr. McInnis for a good while now. He has treated me and three of my siblings. He and his staff are extremely professional and personable. I have met at least 30 people who received treatment from Upstate orthodontics and they are all extremely pleased with their work. He is a favorite amoungst dentists and oral surgeons in the area. He uses the latest technology and provides an over all good experience for anyone recieving treatment. I have spent many years in braces, the first treatment I received was from another orthodontist, the results were much less than satisfactory, I switched to Dr. McInnis and was astonished at his good work. You get what you pay for. Upstate Orthodontics might be one of the more pricey in the area, but, in my opinion, is also the best in the area. Dr. McInnis isn't only concerned with aesthetics, but he also focuses on the function of the patient's bite. He and his staff are very professional and you can tell they really have a passion for orthodontics. Dr. McInnis is very good at explaining things to where people who aren't in the dental field can really understand. Dr. McInnis is an amazing orthodontist. He not only straightened my teeth, but he also fixed my bite! I had treatment as a child elsewhere, but didn't wear my retainer so I was retreated by Dr. McInnis. He and his staff are professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and really cared about my treatment. They kept me up to date every step of the way. Scheduling appointments was easy and they are always able to work around my schedule. If I had any questions, I could just pick up the phone and call them and I wasn't made fun of or felt like I was being an inconvenience to them. He is absolutely the best orthodontist in this area.
