Today we had an appointment for each of us to get our hair cut and I LOVE what she did with my hair after giving her a general idea of what I like and asking her to do whatever she thinks is best. She gave really great tips and tricks to maintain my hair with as little effort as possible since I generally invest zero effort into my hair. My husband has gorgeous curly hair and she has twice now done a spectacular cut doing curl by curl. The last cut grew out to look freshly cut even as it grew which blew my mind. Today's appointment took longer than anticipated (I came in and made the appointment during the week and I think they underestimated how much hair my husband has) and she stated after closing to take her time giving him an amazing haircut. also love that she's bilingual since our family is too. Her overall vibe is empowering and loving. Her eye for aesthetics is wild and it was very cool to see her take my hair from a hot mess that hadn't been cut in a year to being luxe AF. Fernanda only works Saturdays, and it is really nice to spend a chill Saturday in the salon with her. I can't speak/type highly enough of her as a stylist and as a person. The overall salon is really beautiful and our four-year-old has been with us both times we've been to the salon and not only did he enjoy the space, he was offered drinks and snacks along with us. He really likes Fernanda as she talks with him and interacts with him in such a kind way. She offered him a bench near the window to play on and he loved watching people walk by and play with the toys we brought. He said he likes watching her cut hair and she's really good at it so he also recommends you should make an appointment with her!

Appointment scheduling is easy and I've had no problems canceling appointments when I had too. The salon is always clean and I like the clothing and other products they have for sale. I've recommended this place to several friends who all had good experiences. This is not a place to go if you want super cheap hair services but the quality matches the price. It's a higher end salon with professional quality results. I'm glad we have a place like this in Longview because when it comes to my hair I will gladly pay a professional to have it done right.

I've left a message, three times, in the past months. I've never received a call back. I called a salon in Chehalis today. Someone actually answered. I have an appointment tomorrow for a haircut. And, I see the Chehalis salon will schedule online, which is an advantage. Would be wonderful for Black Lotus to have this scheduling feature I was content with Black Lotus...they have an amazing staff. Tana is not only skilled, but her dedication to detail, is second to none! When I used to go get a "guys" haircut, usually a tight fade, but when i used to go elsewhere, it was a real quick, Wham Bam, now leave....Tana has taken 45min both times I got my hair done & I appreciate that! My fade is tight and consistent. She checks it from every angle then double, & triple checks it. Then because my grooming is...mmm...less than stellar, she'll restore order to my out of control beard and get my eyebrows back in shape too, which my wife really appreciates! Second, & equally as important to technical skills, is people skills. In a day when it is rare to meet others who are not only friendly, but great conversationalists, Tana is all that! Last but definitely not least, is the scalp massage! I'm always worried I'm going to begin snoring when she shampoos my hair, because when she starts massaging your scalp, it's like a little piece of heaven! It's worth every cent and then some!
