I can't offer anything than a 5-star review for Ryan and "Off the Top." I found Ryan over a year ago when, fairly still new to the area, I needed someone competent to trim my full faced beard -- I got tired of trying to do it myself! At our very first appointment I asked Ryan if there was anything he would change about my beard's appearance (I had let it grow for 10 months!), and he offered that the shape could be better for my face/head if he could adjust the trim...I agreed, and WOWZA, what a fantastic, amazing difference it made. The cut/trim was perfectly done, and I was astounded at how good the beard looked and how it finally "complemented" my face. ...And then I started getting COMPLIMENTS (even from some perfect strangers) on my beard! Whoa! What old guy doesn't like compliments??? LOL. Anyway, Ryan has been my "go to" ever since, and I don't have a single hesitation in recommending him to anyone...for beards or regular cuts (I shave my head, so I tend to take care of that myself, except when I want the "full head treatment" which Ryan also offers...kind of like a "spa session" for a guy). I am in my mid 60's and during my lifetime I have lived in 16 different cities/towns located in 9 states and Europe. I include that information only to emphasis that it is not an exaggeration when I say I have experienced a lot of barbers in my life. Those barbers have ranged from executive barbers to solo and group barbershops. I went for a beard trim and haircut, but walked out with a complete new style. This guy is awesome! I have gotten haircuts all over the place and this guy is the best by far. He has a unique take on how a haircut, and similar services, are to be handled, and it is refreshing. His shop is cozy and he makes you feel right at home. He doesn't just do what he thinks you want, he takes the time to understand what you want and what kind of hair you have.
