We found that and so much more at Grace Christian Academy. The classical Christian approach utilized at GCA not only challenges our children, but has molded them into so much more than what we bargained for. We've noticed changes in character, maturity, discipline as well as a dramatic change their work ethic as well. The work load at GCA is heavy and extremely challenging, but also well balanced and geared toward equipping a child's mind to becoming not only successful as an adult, but impacting the world through the eyes of God's Word. No school I know of employs such a curriculum quite like GCA. We are very thankful to God to be able to send our children there. Their staff is on par with excellence.

Sister Jean Amore, Ed.D., CSJ, president of Sisters of St. Joseph with great saddness decided to close my belove high school which is serves the Rockaway community enriching young women since 1943. Stella Maris High School in Rockaway Park, NY was decided to close its doors for students, alumnae, faculty. The Blue and Gold spirit of the Stella Flipper is going to retire and become a faded memory due to lack of enrollment of students. I rate CSJ four stars as there were no communication in reaching out to alumane or current students to request financial assistance as on one fine day an unexpected announcement was dropped during an assembly in October 2009 for the Stella Maris High School's closing. As a SM 1993 alumane I am completely heart broken as I entered my freshman year as a painstakely shy girl yet four academic years later became an outgoing young lady with much aspirations. CSJ did not choose to host any fund raising in any attempt to save Stella Maris after sixty-seven years of all-women RC secondary education, which is utterly disgusting disappointing to give up without any motivation or attempt to survive 2010's ailing economic state. Quoting New Age authors and from proponents of pantheism and Eastern mysticism, is another. This is unfortunate, as it can mislead many away from sound Christian doctrine and the gospel, towards more liberal alternatives that are designed to sound pleasing and conform to secular desires and the current social climate.
