Beware! Dr…read more Leventhal suggested an MRI followed by a Fusion biopsy before he would treat my BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia). His surgical coordinator in the Hanover Urology surgical area explained everything and was to manage the procedure and said I would get only one needle into the lesion area. I completed all the pre-surgical testing. What followed was a complete disaster. Firstly, there seemed to be a breakdown in communication and coordination between the various departments. I had to personally arrange for the MRI disc to be sent to the hospital, which was a step that I expected would be handled internally. Additionally, the pre-surgical testing results for blood tests and urine tests were not received by the hospital and practice, despite the heart test results being received. This lack of coordination led to unnecessary stress and confusion for me as I had to make numerous phone calls to ensure that my test results were properly communicated. I arrived on time for the biopsy on August 18th, at 9 am, and waited an hour in the pre-surgical area. Finally, the doctor arrived. I was already prepped for my biopsy. Dr. Leventhal explained I would experience 14 needles in my prostate although his surgical coordinator said only one needle would be inserted into the lesion. I asked her to repeat that at the time, so I was clear in what she said. Dr. Leventhal has poor bedside manners and is generally abrupt. I explained to him she said only one needle. His response "She told you wrong". I again questioned. He repeats "She told you wrong". He says the pre-surgical staff member is a substitute as if that is my problem. He says, "Mr. Castetter you have a decision to make to have the biopsy or not". Already feeling anxious and disappointed about how he spoke to me and my already bad experience, I said "No". Dr. Leventhal said nothing, he left the room. That was the entire conversation that lasted maybe 1.5 minutes at the most. Next, the nurse came in and removed my IV. I explained to the admitting desk what happened, and she said no charge and gave me a card from a UPMC representative. I left the hospital.

I was trying to explain the pain I have been experiencing since my last bout of kidney stones.. he just repeated "I can't do anything for you.. I can refer you to someone else." He wouldn't even listen to what I've been going through. RUDE!! I was asking to be checked with a scope, I had to go to the ER do to the pain I was experiencing. Which the nurses told me to go because there could be an obstruction, for what I was explaining. Had 2 pelvic exams done but they do not go up your urethra and that's where ALL my pain was coming from. Well, Dr Kane you were completely WRONG!! I had a car accident after my appointment with you and with everything going on, guess what a number of small stones came out and one large stone came out... and I have them. Maybe if you would have taken the time to listen to me the patient and done a 5 minute scope you would have seen there was an obstruction there.. if you don't feel like taking care of people anymore then maybe it's time for you to leave the health field. You are extremely RUDE and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. And you tell me if I may need something to call back in.. I will NEVER come to your practice.. you are a TERRIBLE dr.

There were no apologies for their lack of time management nor any apparent concern for my time. I waited in the examination room for another 40 minutes before the doctor came in. A little bit further drive not not too bad. Plenty of parking close to the front of the building so not a long walk to get in. Check in process was easy. He had to just get a blood test and a basic follow up after a procedure several months ago. Had a 10 am appointment and where seen by 10:10. Not much wait time. I see that some haven't had good experiences here but we didn't have any negative experiences. I would say definitely have someone come to help older patients though because my dad would have had trouble navigating everything alone.

I've seen Dr. Paddock over the last two years to receive my constitutional homeopathic remedy and have noticed great improvements in my stress levels, feeling of well-being, and some skin complaints that I had since I was a kid. I've had lots of other doctors and counselors treat me in the past, which have all helped, but the homeopathic remedy that Dr Paddock prescribes completes the treatments and gets at a deeper level of healing in my opinion. Dr. Paddock's visits are great because he doesn't rush me and I feel well-cared for. He gives nutrition and exercise counseling as part of his whole picture of advice. He's very professional and remembers me each visit, which means a lot from a doctor. He works with my other providers too, which makes for a nice team. I can also schedule appointments online through his website. Overall, a great experience.

But for the last three years, I've lived with daily pain that no medicine could touch. At my first appointment with Dr Paddock, he listened to what was going on with me over the years and reviewed the years of lab work I brought in for him to see. He then ordered a few labs at a conventional provider (Lab Corp). The new labs showed I had an active virus, and some other endocrine and vitamin deficiencies that the conventional specialists had not considered testing for. Dr Paddock recommended a few natural supplements, a safe herbal based sleep medicine, and a referral to an expert chiropractor for women's musculoskeletal issues. Starting within two weeks of his treatment plan, most of my joint and back pain and sciatica had vanished, plus I regained the energy and mental sharpness that I thought I'd lost forever. I highly recommend this smart, insightful, and caring doctor. While I am still in touch with my conventional MDs, I feel that this naturopathic approach to health has really worked for me, and I will be a patient of Dr. Paddock for years to come.
