If you live in MD the entire urology system is owned by the robotic United Urology. The phone system is horrible and you will NOT get a human in the office. UPMC Hanover Urology is very personable. Press 1 and get a human in office. They are super nice and caring. I got through passing three stones with the advice and meds from Dr Guo. I'm grateful he is around and operates a great friendly practice. He even does surgery twice a week if people are miserable passing a stone. I fortunately didn't need it but glad it was an option.

Which the nurses told me to go because there could be an obstruction, for what I was explaining. Had 2 pelvic exams done but they do not go up your urethra and that's where ALL my pain was coming from. Well, Dr Kane you were completely WRONG!! I had a car accident after my appointment with you and with everything going on, guess what a number of small stones came out and one large stone came out... and I have them. Maybe if you would have taken the time to listen to me the patient and done a 5 minute scope you would have seen there was an obstruction there.. if you don't feel like taking care of people anymore then maybe it's time for you to leave the health field. There were no apologies for their lack of time management nor any apparent concern for my time. I waited in the examination room for another 40 minutes before the doctor came in. Again, no apologies or consideration for my time. I know a lot of people probably experience this and I think this is normal but it is not. There is nothing normal about disrespect and poor planning. I can see how it would be harder for elderly patients because everything is done on a tablet. I always come to help my dad out. He is happy with his level of care he receives. He had to just get a blood test and a basic follow up after a procedure several months ago. Had a 10 am appointment and where seen by 10:10. Not much wait time. I see that some haven't had good experiences here but we didn't have any negative experiences. I would say definitely have someone come to help older patients though because my dad would have had trouble navigating everything alone.
