I've been a member for about 15 years now and while it always been a good club, the newer leadership has done a lot to make it even better. Based on feedback from members, leadership has adjusted and added a lot more local (midwestern) group dive activities. We have members of all skill levels who are more than happy to help each other out. We have had lots of group trips and as a result have formed bonds, but we are always more than happy to welcome new, open minded divers, with positive attitudes, and a love for diving. read more

My husband and I are charter members of the club. The club is welcoming to new members and offers dive trips and opportunities, both local and remote, geared towards many levels of divers. Anyone who desires additional training can arrange it through the scuba shop where the monthly meetings are held. Monthly meetings focus on a variety of subjects, including but not limited to trip recaps and reviews, marine life and ocean conservation, diving safety, and more. The meetings are live streamed, so if you aren't in the area or physically can't attend, you can still do so virtually. We have multiple members who have moved out of the area and still stay active in this way. At the conclusion of every meeting, there's an after-hours gathering at a local restaurant, and all are welcome to attend. The clubs outreach and affiliation with a local dive shop has grown membership significantly, meaning there's always opportunities for new dive buddies and friendship.
