That was the last time I heard from him, at least when he knew it was me calling. I called multiple times and sent text messages. No response. When I called from a different number, he picked up immediately. When I confronted him about it, his excuse was that it was his birthday week. I pointed out that his birthday did not stop him from returning a call he did not recognize. It only stopped him from returning mine. He promised to send an invoice and follow up. He did neither. More calls, more texts, all ignored. He came to my property, caused damage, dodged my calls, screened me by number, and then went completely silent. I had an interior vaulted ceiling sheetrock repair, several cracks in the sheetrock in the living room, an exterior doorframe that was rotting and needed to be repaired and resealed, a couple of areas in the exterior wood overhang that needed resealing and a ceiling fan that needed rebalancing. All work was done expeditiously and expertly and they were OK with my concerns and were accepting of my insistent oversight. Juan was a master at repairing the sheetrock as I cannot even tell where the repairs were done. The ceiling work was considerably high up and Juan had to maintain good balance to reach the repair area. I considered the charges reasonable; they worked about four hours and there were some additional material charges. I was charged by the hour as they advertised and there was no additional surcharge for a two-man team. I have additional work that needs to be done and I plan to use them again.
