None of the other staff even looked in my direction. I ended up cutting it short in this store, no desire spend money somewhere where I don't feel welcomed.

There are 3 essential imperatives: 1). Get away from…read morewherever you are now (St Paul, Mankato, Duluth, San Diego...wherever), 2). Drive or fly to Milan, Minnesota and stop at Billy Maple Tree's, next to John's Diesel, 3). And talk to Ann Thompson. Rural and so-called metropolitan/cosmopolitan Minnesota has no better representative of Main Street than Ann - humor, charm, grace...and most importantly, listens very convincingly to absolutely fascinating old guy stories without nodding off. Ann is well-versed in the rich arts/crafts/anecdotes of this truly historic village. Small place, but if you don't stop and listen to Ann, you will be making a big, big, regrettable mistake. What are you waiting for?
