Have had several disappointing experiences. The first time I went I was in a hurry to get back to…read morework so ordered glasses and when I went to pay the cost seemed very high. I went back later to review the bill and they had overcharged me $200. Once I received the glasses they fit terribly and I returned them. I decided to take a pair of frames I already owned and have lenses added to them. When I went through the process, they had never reimbursed my insurance for the glasses I had returned. We finally were able to figure it all out but it was a struggle. My daughter had got new glasses around the same time. She never wore them as she has contacts and they are just for backup. A few months later she opened the case and the glasses looked like they were shattered. We took them into Shopko and they blamed my daughter for the issue. They were not pleasant. We asked if that would happen to the new glasses we had ordered and they said it could and would not stand behind the glasses if it did. She tried on the new frames/glasses and they were terrible. The optician said she needs to get used to the fact that they now work for her astigmatism. (She doesn't have an astigmatism, she has never had one and does not have one now.) We took the glasses/frames that looked shattered to another optical center and they said the glasses were over baked and it was not our fault. We do like one of the optometrists, but we are done ordering glasses here.

I entered the front and had to navigate to the back for shoes. The salesperson, if I can use the term so boldly, was behind the counter and ignored me. I looked at styles available and found a couple I liked. I approached her and asked her to measure my feet. She told me the store does not own the tools to measure feet and that only the manager knew how. She offered to write down the styles and size I thought I need and have the manager order me a few pairs in various sizes for me to make a selection. I was told the manager wouldn't be in until Tuesday (this was Saturday) and that it would probably take a week for the shoes to come in. She took my name and number. When I didn't hear back in two weeks, I called the store and talked to the manager. She did not deny the salesgirl's assertion that they did not have a measuring tool, but said that she should have been able to tell what size to order by using different sizes available for an estimate. She stated that the salesperson needed better training. However, the brand I had selected had just bought by another company and they were having trouble ordering and receiving product. Was I still interested? Of course, I was and she promised to contact me as soon as the shoes were available and/or in. I am still waiting to hear back from them! I have since ordered $500 worth of shoes from other retailers. I am not holding my breath, but I am amazed that a store with such terrible customer service can stay in business. How desperate is Marshall for shoes?

I stopped in late this afternoon to get some flowers for an event at my daughter's college here in town.
