I had a burst pipe at my business and I was referred to Up Front Settlements. Initially I was a bit skeptical because I never had need of a public adjuster and didn't really understand the function of them but shortly into the process I was extremely grateful that I hired one. I can't truly compare Ed (owner of Up Front) to other adjusters but on a personal level I felt extremely comfortable with his process. He was extremely informative and offered step by step instruction as to how the claim would work and what I needed to do in order to set it up. As soon as I hired him I no longer had to deal directly with the insurance company, which was quite a load off my back. As a business owner, I typically favor those who make my life easier and also benefit my company in the best way. Ed really helped on both fronts and was able to execute the claim as advertised. He also, and maybe most importantly, helped to allay any anxiety I started to feel once the insurance company started dragging their feet. As a former employee for the insurance companies, Ed understood the strategies employed by them in order to drag out the payments. Because he was able to simply explain the process to me in terms I could understand, it made that part of things easier to swallow. I was asked by a friend who is in the same industry as myself if I could do it all over again, would I forego the fee I paid to Up Front and attempt to navigate the claim on my own. Boy reading some of those reviews really got me laughing ! First, I want to thank Upfront Settlements for taking urgency in taking my case because while the insurance comany did not decline my claim - their offer was extremely low. Ed agreed to take my case and in the situation like this - anyone would be in a hardship and we just have to remember that our adjusters do not own a magic wand to just make the claim close and money to appear in our accounts. So there are always two options: 1. take the low offer and don't post stupidity on peoples pages who is working to help you; OR 2. be patient and allow them to do their work which will pay off in a long run because after all - they will be there to make sure that you get all that you deserve after the loss. Now it may take a few months or even longer (depends on the insurance that you have). But I find it better to wait so with all that - THANK YOU Benavides family! After 44 years with AAA I finally had to make a claim on my homeowners policy from the 8-11-21 storm here in SE Mich. Wow was I in for a surprise AAA sent out of state adjusters to the evaluation and were absurdly low on thier appraisal. I knew I was fighting a huge corporatetocracy and needed help. A friend recommended using a public adjuster to help . Since I never even heard of this field I searched the internet and found Ed. He was a pro from the beginning to the end. Even though AAA dragged things out Ed continued to battle and ended up getting me more then I would have settled with AAA if they had been more reasonable at the onset. Without Ed I have no idea what we would have done. Our insurance kept telling us that claim was not covered but ended up covering everything. Ed was helpful in every way from beginning to end. He got us everything we needed and some. Trying to communicate with the insurance adjusters is not easy at all. We love Ed... Our house was totally destroyed in a flood. We had a policy for $250,000 and the insurance company after living out of our car for a over a month only offered us $72k and told us to sell the land to recoup more money. We were not excited about buying a dump somewhere else... We found Ed's ad and saw some great reviews so we called, he is the nicest guy and went to work immediately!! I would highly recommend Ed to assist in any insurance claim. Had a furnace fire and was unsure what to do And step son referred me to Ed and thank God for that. He was able to get me a new furnace and AC unit in 30 days from date of fire.He lined up all the additional trades to get my home cleaned and in order from the fire damage. It's a small price to pay to have someone so knowledgeable and willing to help home owners with claims and deals with the headaches from insurance companies.
