It's a typical out of town shopping centre with all of the high street familiars in one open space, so not at all an indie heaven, but useful if you need a Boots or M&S. It also has a BHS, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, and Carephone Warehouse, to name but a few. There's plenty of coffee, cake and food options including Starbucks, Costa Coffee, M&S Cafe and eateries such as Nandos, Harvester and Frankie & Bennies. There's plenty of free parking (it does get very busy around Christmas, and sometimes of a weekend) and it feels less claustrophobic than some shopping centres, being open air and built in a big loop. As far as these things go, it's decent enough, well maintained and with plenty of options.

You can always pick up a bargain and I recommend that you start off in the bargain section working your way to the full price stuff. If you are new to TK Maxx, be warned that it is addictive and annoying and frustrating all at the same time! They have changing rooms but if you need the toilet, afterall you could be there a while(!) go to sainsbury which is just a long a few shops away. They also have a wide selection of bags/luggage and beauty products. You should also note that they have changed their returns policy. It use to be 28 days but is now 14 days. Also, take a bag as they now charge for plastic bags. It's not optional which can annoy some customers as I have witnessed. Lots of parking outside and is about a 20min drive from the city centre

It's pleasing to see branded sports products at discounted prices and even more pleasing to see that Total Clearance Store sells official Aston Villa goods, but disappointing to see that the majority of products on sale are b-grade, damaged goods. Additionally, the store has an unappealing, unclean feel to it, with many products covered in layers of dust and the floors looking as if they haven't had a good scrub in a very, very long time. On my visit, I found the staff to be annoyingly pushy, as the owner followed me around the store attempting to pressure me into making a purchase as I browsed. Total Clearance store may be cheap, but it most certainly isn't what you'd call cheerful. Personally, I'd recommend shopping elsewhere.

Was just here this evening. All the sale stock was buy one get one free but there was not a massive…read moreselection left over and I did see one item I bought from DPs over a year ago on the sale rack! This is part of the Arcadia group of stores which are next to one another and you can walk through from Evans to Dotty P's to Burtons and onwards. DP's stock a wide range of clothes in sizes 8 - 22 from what I have noticed and are all the same price regardless of size you need. The staff are helpful and friendly, they sell some great shoes, lingerie and accessories which are usually at very good prices and the underwear is sometimes on special offer. There was an item of clothing I wanted today that they did not have in, but for some reason they could not get onto the server to check if it is in stock so the assistant told me to call back tomorrow and gave me the line number or advised me I might be able to get it online. She said the reason the server might not have let her on was because the shop was just about to close so it would be fine tomorrow if I phoned in.
