Though it may not be the geographic center of campus, the SUB certainly feels in the middle of it all. It often serves as an important transit station, with so many entrances and exits on multiple levels that the shortcut possibilities are endless.
On the bottom, there's a movie theater, art studios, a barber shop, a credit union, a pool hall, a grocery store/deli. The atrium often hosts events, including concerts and public health drives. This is also the floor you visit to get your free bus sticker, for as long as that program stays funded.
Next floor up, you've got the impressive SUB ballrooms, and the food court. As of this writing, you can choose from local favorites like Twister's and Lotaburger, or popular chains like Chick-fil-A, Subway, and Mandalay Express. You'll also find the taproom, Draft & Table, on the Southeast corner.
Another floor up, mostly activity rooms. I've voted in two presidential elections on this floor. It's also where many student organizations hold meetings. You can find out more info online about booking a room up here.
Yes, it's a big vibrant building, pulsing with the lifeblood of the university. After enough years, the SUB has become an old friend. I'm happy we can still keep in touch. read more
