What an absolutely wonderful addition to the Hertel Ave shopping scene…read more This charming gift shop is chocked full of all kinds of things that you just can't stop say " ohhh look at that" or " oh my gosh how adorable is that?" or " what a great idea that is!" This is a new women owned business and not just Jessica the women but Stella the dog (when her schedule allows) opened to enhance our community. What can I get there you ask? Well you can get a baby soft robe or a bag of malted milk peanut butter balls. Maybe a set of baby animal finger puppets or a dog blanket and toy Christmas gift set. How about a Buffalo sweatshirt or some fluffy slippers. Maybe some thermal tumblers or a s'mores Christmas tree ornament. Of course I simply couldn't resist getting a couple of things...... and I'm very certain you will have a very hard time resisting something calling your name too. I'm so excited to see what Jessica and Stella will be filling the store with after the holidays. I think this is definitely one of those stores that will have just the perfect gift that you aren't going to see everywhere. Oh and don't forget " one for you and one for me, two for me and one for you...." Shopping is a challenge with all these adorable choices!!

I enjoyed looking in all the nooks and crannies and making sure I didn't miss anything. The owner, Jen, is very friendly and welcoming and told me her name as soon as I walked in and conveyed that if there was anything I needed, to not hesitate to let her know. Also, Stella, is a dog. She greeted me when I walked in and I had a smile plastered on my face the entire time I was moving around the shop because she was so adorable and had bells around her collar. I purchased a llama ornament for myself, and a coaster with a snarky saying on it for my mom. Visit this shop ASAP because you will fall in love with the setting, the owner, and the dog, Stella. I can't wait to see how the store is decorated past Christmas. Right now, there are two stunning Christmas trees and it looks like a winter wonderland.

It's been a little while since I've patroned Say Cheese Pizza…read more So, last night I was having a pizza craving and ordered a couple pizzas, 1 for my wife and 1 for myself. And I was reminded why I missed them and shouldn't be taking so long between visits. Whether you're local or outta town and want comfort food or a really nice pizza, custom or pizzeria style, hands down, in my opinion, Say Cheese has my vote. Well done everyone. Until next time!

The dressing combo with Gorgonzola was delicious. My only complaint is that they give you legit heads of romaine lettuce. This would be impossible to eat as takeout. Luckily, I brought it to work where I had access to a knife and cutting board.

This is a new holiday market in Niagara Falls. Very easy street parking…read more It's in two venues across from each other on third street. Some 40 vendors, I think all local to NF. You'll find quite a few T-shirt stalls - quite varied options. Two booths of creative wreaths - they will last for years. Very large, creative and colorful. Reversible bow ties that win in creativity. They were awesome. I don't know anyone that wears bow ties or I would have certainly picked on up. Great idea. A few places selling mugs, from handmade buffalo themed to knitted mug holders. I recently found macrame pot hangers we made years ago, and I saw them here again. I guess they are back in style. One venue had live music, not too loud, which was really nice. A few places selling various bath bulbs, body scrubs, etc. Many scarf options, I picked one up as a gift. One of the most interesting stalls was called Brick Chick - she makes things for your garden. Very interesting. One site was more cramped than the other, making it a little tight. Great first year event for NF. 105/R-a-D Challenge

I reviewed the list of vendors the day before and I'm so glad I did…read more The event itself was a little overwhelming. So much to look at, so many people... I bought a couple bags of coffee from True Bean. Their coffee is absolutely delicious! It's whole bean coffee, maybe a little less convenient then pre-ground, but its WORTH EVERY PENNY! They were also offering pour over samples of their Ethiopian coffee. Its sooooo good! A dear friend of a friend, Billy Butski had a display of his photography. I had to buy a calendar. 12 beautiful images of the Falls, its gorgeous! The Sample Seed Shop was there with seeds. I bought several types of pepper seeds, and some kale seeds. Remy Rotella is very knowledgeable about the seeds she sells. I also got some catnip seeds that my kitties will surely enjoy, and some Thai Basil seeds that I'm really looking forward to growing. I love making Pad Thai but it's so difficult to find Thai Basil in local stores. I sampled some black garlic hummus from 3 Sisters Garlic that was rich, creamy and not overly garlicky but very tasty. I opted to purchase a black garlic butter. I think it'll taste great over steamed veggies. And lastly I bought a beautiful amethyst heart from Spiritual Landing. All together about $80 spent, including a donation to disabled veterans.

I had a great time looking around at all of the neat stuff! I wasn't in need of anything so I was just window shopping. My favorite find were cans of spaghettios and ravioli that looked totally real, but we're actually safes you could store valuables in. Very clever. Here are some items you can expect to find here: Clothing: novelty tshirts of local restaurants that are no longer around, such as the ground round, Bills gear, Buffalo-themed shirts Costumes and accessories to buy (kids and adults) and rent. Toys / games Glass smoking accessories Gnomes Greeting cards Cards for play/magic Prank toys (candy that actually tastes horrible, fake vomit, fake dirty adult diapers, and a million other things) Novelty drink ware Unique gift ideas It's the kind of store you find one-of-a-kind items you don't see everywhere you go.

A cast mate recommended it when I asked if she knew a good place to find stage makeup. They have a small but solid assortment of both grease and water based paint. Prices were good, comparable or better than what I've seen online plus they helped me choose between grease and water based paint. I was in and out in under five minutes. I'll definitely be back the next time I need stage makeup when street make up is inadequate for my needs. They also have an assortment of costumes, magic items and various other things, but I didn't have a chance to check it all out. Cool place.

This store has wonderful art treasures and I love stores that support local artists. Unfortunately the store owner is insolent. I work in a customer facing role and I would never treat my customers the way she did. The owner obviously only cares about making money and not representing local artists because there's been reviews to give the owner an opportunity of growth, but clearly no growth was had. I feel bad for the artists that lost sales because of her. I would not recommend this store from a customer experience OR an artist looking to collaborate. 5/5 stars for the Dina (the cat) though!
