Nice space for a news room and was cool to come listen to this inaugural live taping. Parking is tight around here but the event had free parking if you registered for it. I did not and ended up paying over $20 for parking in a nearby lot, highway robbery. Some of the people interviewed were really interesting. I learned about the Chicano Park here in SD and the murals (I will visit soon) and also learned about the SD chapter of the Black Panthers. They also featured a Latina comedian (she was pretty funny) and also a Thai American signage artist (I mainly came to see his works as his artwork is super neat). Koy Sun is his name, look up his artwork, its pretty sweet. After the taping, there was a nice reception with some finger foods and I enjoyed the beef empanadas they were passing around. Overall, a fun and educational Sunday afternoon. Id come back here again.

I've been listening to them for years, and also going to the live P1 events for a long time. The most popular is the Adult Easter Egg Hunt. It was usually held at Dave and Busters in Mission Valley, but I was happy that this year they moved it to Mavericks in PB. That's right near one of my work locations, so that made it really easy to go to work after the event was over! You sign up ahead of time online, then on the day you line up early in the morning. I'm talking it starts at 5:45am, because they start broadcasting at 6am. And then you hunt in heats for little plastic eggs, that represent prizes. Other events are Keggs and Eggs, the Halloween party at Sycuan, and the Way Too Early Christmas Party (held before Thanksgiving, lol). Lots of chances to hang out with other P1s!

This channel is really cool. It offers a variety of shows for children and adults. There are your typical PBS-style documentaries, but there is also really cool music programming and some funky shows which look like they are from Europe and they overdubbed them en Espaol. I've really enjoyed watching this channel since I finally upgraded to a TV which receives digital signals. If you like PBS and speak Spanish, I think you will, too.

I am a bit familiar with San Diego radio having visited a few times over the years & when KYXY had abn AC format leaning a bit towards hot AC, I was jumping when I found Easy 98.1. All the DJs are so upbeat & truly are down to earth with living everyday lives like the rest of us & relate to the rest of us for that matter. Greg Cook, is a bay area transplant as I remember him on JKEZR in San Jose in the 80's; so good to hear his voice after all these years. Of course, Chicago, Four Tops, Adel, Back Street Boys just scratching th surface as far as variety all on one radio statation, the way all soft rock stations across the country should be run. I will definitely tune these guys in next time in San Diego & before then, on line. Keep up the good work guys.
