I have attended the Universoul Circus many years ago, so when I was invited to go this time, I agreed and was glad I did. It was such a good time!! The performers are very entertaining and I enjoyed how they engage the crowd throughout the show. The music kept everyone energized and happy. I was pleased about the reasonably priced snacks - of course things are surcharged up, but to get a big tub of popcorn for $6 is good. They also had snow cones, soul wings, etc - these were all under $8. The most expensive thing were the toys - No worries for me - although I am a big kid, I wasn't paying $12-$15 for glow in the dark toys. I recommend highly, but keep in mind the show is over 2 hours long - so a school night might night be a good idea for the kiddos.

One of the acts at the UniverSOUL circus!!

Definitely giving this act a 5 out of 5 only probably 2 things that would make this not be 5 stars but there's to many great factors about this show to not have 5 stars My first thing is the prices...I had took my youngest son there he's 2..now it was a couple dollars cheaper for him but any other place it starts at about 3 or 4 years old to pay, not saying he didn't have fun but attention span was short had to actually leave alittle early because of him gettin cranky and tired...soo they should bump that age limit up to kids that can actually comprehend and remember...today I had brought my 5 year old daughter and she had a blast! The other thing we're the protesters in front of the entrance....alittle sad and with a curious 5 year that askes a million whys and what's kinda hard to explain..... Everything else is a MUST SEE!!! Kick back and enjoy the show!!!

I saw the commercial on television, so my bf and I decided to be spontaneous and see if the Universoul Circus was performing somewhere close by for the same day. We immediately purchased tickets, as they were performing at Aviation Sports and Events Center in Brooklyn. We had so much fun! They had crowd participation, great music and awesome performances. Dancing clowns, elephants, motorcycle tricks to name a few. I don't even know which performance I liked the best. The snacks were reasonable prices, as they ranged from $6 & $7. They offered Popcorn, Soul Wings, Nachos, snow cones, and Funnel cakes. ( I think they could have replaced funnel cakes with Pretzels). We ordered all except for Soul wings because we don't eat meat ( I'm a pescatarian, he a vegetarian) and snow cones. but the wings smelled really good. We had so much fun, we would love to go again.

House venue that tries to host unique shows on Fridays and Saturdays. But it's also trying to do more with film and potlucks. I went down here to hang out with my friends Seizure 17 and was instantly impressed. It had a fresh mix of bands that I either haven't seen on the house show circuit before, or where mixing it up at a new house for the first time. And that's the way it should be. there was some fresh looking art in the living room, and the basement venue was pretty big. At 6'5" I had no trouble standing up without bumping my head, and even had a bit of room to get my dance on. They were even cool enough to let my friends set up a video screen for their set. Chernobyl is maintained by Da Comrade, a Philly band I haven't had the chance to hear yet (might be taking care of that after Rum Bar when they play with my friends again). But I've heard nothing but good things and they've played with some great bands like Agent Moosehead and Saudi Arabia. Looks like there are no shows coming up in May, but definitely try to scope the venue out on Mysapce to see what their cooking up for June.

Despite starting a bit later, due to a group ahead of us, we were able to upgrade our Groupon to play multiple games. Then the set up from there was quick and easy. The VR games the staff facilitate really are a lot of fun, even for non-gamers like me. It's also just enough activity to work up a sweat, but not enough to drain you. You will laugh and shout a lot and truly feel submersed for a good hour. I was glad we paid extra to upgrade, as we got to play a variety of games with different degrees of difficulty. The staff was great, guiding us the whole time, and the lounge has a waiting area with TVs and music. It was a dope experience.
