I paid my copay, I was taken for X-rays then placed into a patient room with ANOTHER patient in the same room!! Then I was taken to a second room, where I noticed a patients information including date of birth and body part was exposed (their chart was open on the desktop computer)!!! AKA a HIPPA VIOLATION!! The practice got bought out which is not surprising (Inspire Health Medical Group). Oh boy here it comes. Review from 2022. Your pain is not their priority in office. I was referred to see a specialist who needlessly called to conduct in-house imaging that he didn't do much with (...is that just to charge me more). This guy has a god complex, assumes that others are supposed to care about his micro specialty areas or his academic/medical interests (based on his online profiles). It's very "pick me" "look at me". Why do doctors do this now? Where's the authentic care for patients. It's not anymore about genuinely wanting to help patients, see eye to eye with them, understand their pain, help quickly. I didn't feel like I was helped even though I was seen in a visit. It went nowhere. Are they just collecting my information to safeguard it and not help with any medical diagnosis? The front office staff is a separate complaint. Obtaining images or visit summaries from them was a nightmare. I remember being bounced back and forth between calls with different women in the front with really not a lot of work getting done on my behalf. They treated me as if it's my job to paperwork push, do all the legwork for document transfer. Earth to reception it's not the patient's job to perform administrative jobs and to perform many phone calls in order to advocate for themself. I don't know what ever happened to simply take note of what patients need and crossing off the list as they get done. Messages don't get passed between staff nor are a priority when we aren't around. The front staff fumbled in the handling of insurance clearance and other related things. I never got follow up and I never got help. They make it the patient's job to keep rescheduling and by this time our insurances fluctuate. Lack of continuation of care is a real issue here, and these Doctor's just refer patients to their Doctor friends in other specialties and muddy the water. We are coming for relief not to keep continually be referred somewhere else. You are getting paid to fix peoples problems now do your best to fix them while they are in your office! My patient responsibility was about $500+ for not getting the help I needed. If I recall... they drafted the bill with wrong cpt codes.. Dr Kollmorgen... try harder. I'm latino came for an XRay and made me wait 2 hours in a little room. There's a staff member (hair dyed blonde) she called me up and was very rude I had trouble saying "painful" my English is little bad due to me accent she was correcting me kinda yelling the word on how to say it and rolled her eyes. After 1 hour on waiting for Dr. Martirosian I stepped out the room and seen that same staff member at her desk and asked why the delay on the doctor she yelled at me To go back to the room once it hit 2 hours I left and reschedule. read more

Well, I'm going in for hand surgery this morning. With a Highly rated hand surgeon. He seems more than Competent I'm hoping my Results have the best outcome possible. I'm a bit nervous and pretty Anxious. My hand has been deformed from a car running me over in 2019... I've had to adjust my life in many ways to Accommodate. This disability...the staff has treated me with compassion and have had genuine concerns...answering all my questions with as much detail as possible and in a language I can understand without making me feel like there talking down to me.... I just hope my surgeon don't run into any unforseen problems but I'm confident he's more than capable if he does... I'll be back with a follow up review... read more

A year and a half after my knee replacement, sudden and sharp pain started. My husband came home from work and took me to the E.R. Where they drained out pans of blood, gave me pain meds and put a brace on it with instructions to see my doctor at this group. I got in the next day and he blew me off saying no patients of his had anything like this and told me I didn't need the brace or pain meds. I found another surgeon who had tests done at a local hospital that showed an infection. read more

substandard follow up care, no visits from nurse or therapist after TKR. when I called I was told the follow up care group they have hired ( contracted with) do not travel far out of town to visit a patient. The doctor's assistant said a lot of people don't have the physical therapy or visits, and they do just fine. My brother has ended up very sick, red, swollen entire leg, now spread over entire body. Earlier he, my sister and I called the office we were told he should just come for his appointment, which was one month after surgery. He was admitted to Clovis hospital last night and still hasn't been seen, and his symptoms are worse. Crowded conditions of course, his bed is in a crowded hallway. read more

Scheduling appointments to fit your needs is non existent. I was told I had to take the first available appointment because the dr only wanted to fill the morning first, wouldn't schedule anything in the afternoon. If there's no appointments he gets an early day! I felt like my issues were not addressed. I had to tell my story twice. Was referred to this practice by my primary today for an issue with my thumb, I literally cannot move my thumb which means I cannot type which means I cannot work. They got back to me within 24 hrs to tell me they could schedule me for an appt in JULY. I explained to them that this is an acute issue and I am currently not able to work and I need to get some type of immediate plan for getting me back to work while waiting for therapy or surgery. My please for help fell on deaf ears though. She essentially gave me a bunch of sorry's and I got frustrated and told her I don't think this is the practice for me. I then contacted Sierra Pacific Orthopedic and they were able to get me an appt in 4 days time. If youre researching Orthopedic providers at this point I would say avoid these folks, they obviously have no concern for people well being an no ability to be flexible with scheduling for acute issues or special circumstances. thanks for absolutely nothing. read more

While enjoying an animated game of slingshot with giant marshmallows during a family getaway weekend at a cabin near Shaver Lake in December 2017, I had an accident. Clear skies and temps in the 70s lured us to play our slingshot and marshmallow game outdoors. We interrupted our game just long enough to gather the marshmallows that were strewn all over the backyard. The terrain was uneven and typical of that found in the mountains above the snow line. I reached out to pick up a marshmallow when the ground below me gave way. Instinctively I reached out with my right arm to brace my fall from tumbling down the hill when I saw what I thought was my arm dislocating itself at the elbow as I landed twice as though my arm was a pile driver! And then came the sound that only crushed bone can make: poof! Horrible night spent in the ER located one hour away. It was a holiday weekend around 4pm so every urgent care type place we found on Google maps sent us to the next one down the road until we ended up at ER. After several hours of enduring muscle spasms, ineffective pain meds, and having been forgotten by medical staff, St. Agnes ER sent me home as 'non emergency, non surgical'. Come to find out that meant, "No surgery needed now so go home cuz you DO need surgery but we are an ER and must tend to higher priority injuries." Two weeks later, long boring insurance delay story, I met Dr. Motasem Refaat at University Associates Orthopaedic Group. He performed a surgery to prevent a total elbow replacement. Unfortunately the damage was too severe and the repair didn't hold. Often it does it's just that it didn't in my case. Dr. Refaat's reaction to realizing the repair didn't hold was unexpected: he cared! He was determined to find out why the repair failed and how to get me full use of my arm despite the circumstances. Second surgery was scheduled for two weeks later with Dr. Nathan Hoekzema. He was in on my first surgery and would perform the second surgery: total elbow replacement. Nine days later Dr. Hoekzema removed my splint and we all released a collective sigh of relief: Success! The elbow replacement held as intended. Dr. Hoekzema took the time to answer ALL of our questions. He even reviewed the x-rays with us in detail. He also gave me the challenge to begin physical therapy with Sharc Physical Therapy pronto to help me reach the goal of regaining full arm extension in six weeks. Mission accomplished!! Full recovery takes a year and I'm well on my way to reaching that goal. Dr. Hoekzema said I'm his patient for life and to return for annual check ups so that he can monitor my elbow if and when it needs replacing and to make sure I don't get an infection in the prosthesis. If I ever do, he will advise me on the best course of treatment at that time. I've come a long way on the road to recovery so far. My future for a total recovery looks so bright! Thank you Drs. Refaat and Hoekzema for your surgical expertise, personalized care and for taking my case. My entire experience with surgeons and staff at University Associates Orthopedic Group was great even though the reason for being there was difficult. I highly recommend Drs. Terrible doctors. They all act like they are just out of med school but never left the college lifestyle. All they do is chit chat with each other. At one point the doctor left the examination room saying he would "be right back" and didn't come back for over an hour. Be warned they will find every way they can to penny you, from unnecessary X-rays that even the X-ray tech said "didn't we already give you X-rays?", they will find any way they can to rack up that bill. They also have no interest in helping. Our second visit (and last) the doctor told us that we could either do a surgery that he said "may not even fix the issue", or just work on it and give it time to see if it heals. No help with pain management, or anything regarding helping through the healing process. We left with him saying "if you decide to do surgery give us a call". To Dr. Robert Cole-Morgan, you are the absolute worst excuse for a medial "professional". Please grow up and try to care about your patients instead of the office's bottom line. read more

My appointment was in the middle of November. I have been awaiting for a knee injection for over a month. I have called several times and never been able to speak with the medical assistant for Dr. Amin. I had to go through the front office to ask her about the referral. She would never return my phone call! The front desk told me they are awaiting for the insurance to approve the referral for the injections. The front office kept telling me well if it's hurting you that bad you can pay $88.00 for the injections. Why would I pay for the injections out of pocket when I have insurance!!!! Why is the staff telling patients this without even filing the claim to the insurance company?! I have called the insurance company twice and they have no record of a referral. I then proceeded to call the office and have the staff leave an email for the office manager. I have yet to receive a phone call from either the office manager or the medical assistant. read more

Rude/incompetent staff. Was referred here by the ED doctor I saw. Called to make an appointment and was told by the woman that answered the phone that she had to "log in" and she'd be right with me and was then on hold for literally 12 minutes. I hung up and called back and was finally helped. Went in on Monday to get my knee checked out, saw a PA that was great. Was told I'd need an MRI and that they'd be calling me to schedule it. Called on Wednesday, since I hadn't heard anything, and was rudely told by Dr. Baysal's medical assistant Junior, that they don't schedule the MRIs, the imaging facility they refer out to does...and that was about it. I then had to ask who schedules them, as I was not told this, and asked if I need to call them as I don't know the normal turnaround time for them to get the referral and call me, etc. Junior was no help there either. The staff was so unhelpful and rude that I switched to Dr. Simonian and was scheduled right away and ALSO scheduled for my MRI right after my appointment at the office, though they also do not do their MRIs at the office. Oh to add, it's now Friday and STILL no call to schedule an MRI with them. Wouldn't recommend this facility if you have private insurance! read more

I am forever grateful to Dr. Jason Davis and this group of highly trained professionals. I had a horrible accident and they were instrumental from the surgery to recovery. My visits with Dr. Davis, Simon and the support I received from Junior was top notch. They are supportive and proactive - making sure that they monitored my recovery with X-rays and making sure that I was getting the support I need. Dr. Davis is no longer with this office, however I know that I am in great hands with their team of doctors and support staff. read more

This place is a big rip off. I originally gave them a 5 star for my daughters visit. After her 20 minute visit - 2-3 total minutes with the resident. They reviewed the X-ray we had and now we are being charged for a specialist and "surgical visit". It was a follow up to our urgent care doctor. Now after all fees we are being charged $600+ for a quick visit with a resident and not the real doctor. We were never told about this surgical visit - additional visits within 90 days are covered. I call BS. Guarantee if we go we'll probably get a specialist doctor charge. Run away from this place. I'm going to file a dispute on the surgical charge. And hopefully the insurance sees the BULL Sheit that is their billing practice read more

Ok. So...I really have mixed feelings about this facility. I'm giving a 3 because I hope that they can rise to the premier medical facility that they could be with a modicum of effort. The Dr.'s are great. I have personally seen 2 different doctors and 1 PA here. My son had a knee surgery by one of the doctors here. The Doctors and PA's are first rate in my opinion and I have ZERO issues with the Doctors. Now the customer service from the administrative staff. I wish I had some good things to say. Now it is not my intention to throw anyone under the bus....but I have had numerous issues with the staff. Disclaimer: I understand that the Dr's here oftentimes get called into the hospital for surgeries which effects their office visits. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED HERE..... 1. Calling to schedule and being put on hold forever to get hung up on. (X2). After the second time I elected to start coming into the office to schedule. Wasn't a big issue because I live close. 2. Being told that I would receive a call back...and not receiving a call back. Resulting in...you guessed it...stopping by the office. 3. Having my appointment rescheduled via phone call. Then when I arrived at my newly rescheduled appointment I was told that I was rescheduled. The receptionist claims I was called a week prior, but no call was received not was any message left that I should call the office. I'm sure I'm forgetting some issues. And I wouldn't stop visiting this office based on the shortcomings of the admin folks here because I believe the Dr's and PA's are great. Just know that it takes a lot of personal effort to make sure you can be seen and oftentimes you need to be very persistent when you need an office visit. read more

This was one of the worst healthcare experience I ever received in my life. I am in contact with my insurance company to report them. I injured my back and called them to make an appointment. First of all, they scheduled my X-ray appointment wrongly, although I confirmed two times by calling them. Secondly, orthopedics doctor, Samia Ghaffar, saw me under 5 minutes, and she said that she could not say anything with X-ray and she ordered an MRI. She added they would call me to schedule an appointment. She did not do anything about my back pain, no questions, no examination, nothing. I would like to see her notes actually. Now, what about my MRI appointment? One week passed, no appointment. I called them to schedule my MRI appointment. I called them three times because we lost connections two times. After 30 minutes waiting on the phone, they told me to call them back tomorrow. read more

Dr Nazarian is an amazing surgeon. He's been great in handling my family's medical needs across two surgeries thus far. However, his office staff truly border on INCOMPETENT. I've never seen so many consistent mishandlings of paperwork and schedules in my life. And their attitude when questioned regarding these issues seem to be dismissive at best. Their lack of professionalism really does have an impact on patients and their families. It is atrocious. I hope Dr. Nazairian can move on to another medical group. Horrible experience. I was referred there by my GP because I had a broken hand. The doctor that I saw was so incompetent. I felt like he was totally blowing me off wanted to put me in a brace and not a cast. Acted like it was no big deal. I went and got a second opinion that same day. I'm so happy that did I because they provided a thorough examination and another set of x-rays and I was told that I would have to have a cast on that's what I had thought from the beginning of my injury and they totally were on it they still are on it I'm almost healed & going to be out of my cast soon and I just cannot believe The way that I was Treated at University orthopedics in Clovis. I do not recommend this place .completely Unprofessional , lazy and with my experience they did not know what they were doing. read more

I injured my ankle at work in June. I went here because they did great with a family member shoulder procedure. I was wrong. I was never seen by a doctor. Only a couple of PAs. Paperwork took over 2 weeks to get signed. I was sent to physical therapy and returned because i did not improve. I asked for an MRI. "We do not do imaging" was the response. I asked for a referral because of the rules around my work comp claim. They said sure but never placed one. I used my private insurance to get an MRI which showed significant damage that required surgery to fix. I gave this to them and was told "That is normal. See I can do that with my elbow". I asked for a referral to my personal doctor so I could continue with work comp and get a referral to my doctor's preferred orthopedic surgeon. They agreed. However they never sent it. I used my own private insurance to see my own doctor's to repair the damage. They called me after the final appointment to tell me my condition would not affect stability. They attempted to put me in a full duty condition despite my inability to run, jump and kneel. I used my private insurance and recieved the proper care which involved surgery to repair my ankle. If you have ankle issues....do not use this practice. 10/10 for shoulders though. Amazing job for Dr. Weiman. read more

These folks are great, very professional in all aspects of Orthopaedic care. I had a fractured of my left fibula. They took care of everything. Staff is professional as well as Dr. Lindval and each of his associates. I'm very pleased with the results of all my visits here. Hope that I never have to come back, but if I need an orthopedic doctor, this is the only establishment that I would want to visit, knowing that I will be taken care of well. read more

Worst care anywhere, would give minus 5star if possible, went in for broken metacarpal and joint ligament trauma from car accident, only a worn out flourescope no other imaging, sent out with no information on care for the hand swelling ect , no advice on supplements for bone and joints ,a hand splint put on BACKWARDS, three days later hand hurting worse I was not allowed to speak to Dr huchinson or get a call from him due to incompetence or no communication had to look up online for correct way to wear hand brace , had to look up what supplements I should be taking, got no help just major aggravation from phone "operators system" but they made sure to remind me of a follow-up appointment a month later... Both times my appointment was scheduled and after arriving for my scheduled appointment I sat in the exam room for an hour after my scheduled time. Also the new building the walls of the exam rooms are not private that you can hear what is being said or discussed with patients in the adjacent rooms. Not good for privacy issues. read more

There was an issue with our follow up appointment and according to that office it had to be put off an additional week. Due to being out of town the following week and the office understanding the importance of a post operation appointment the other office suggested I call this office. So I did. The office staff was so kind, they immediately texted Dr. Wiemann asked permission to schedule her an appointment at this office knowing they couldn't charge our insurance. Sure enough they got her in right away. All staff encountered from the up front staff, medical assistant, xray tech, Physicians Assistant and of course Dr.Wiemann were all AMAZING!! Very rude staff at front desk- wait time 3 hours, Office wasn't very inviting maybe one picture on the wall, the room had all there supplies lined up on the table scissors, bandages etc. not very safe if you have children the walls needed new paint. PA Nathan H was very rude. My time is just as important as his, And he went by a test that was done almost 3 years ago this isn't a true diagnosis. He didn't do an X Ray.. I had told the receptionist when I made my appointment if I needed to bring in any x-rays or previous test she had said no they would do an x-ray in the office. Not only did I wait seven weeks to get in but he wanted see results from another doctor. My issue is why didn't someone come in the room and let me know, I had come out several times to ask what was going on. So I made a call and got test faxed over, since it was lunch time in the office the results sat on the fax machine. When the PA (Nathan) came in he was very rude blaming me for all that had happened. The professional thing would have been asked me to reschedule so they can get the proper test results or even to come in to my room and let me know what was going on. After I left I do remember why I never went back to that office I had same issue Nathan wasn't very nice. I did see another doctor who said the test I had done was to old and a lot can change in two half years, he has ordered new X-rays and tests and I got into there office in a week. read more

My 14 year old daughter was referred to Dr Kollmorgen by our family Dr for chronic hip pain. She is a very high level soccer player. She had pain in her groin & hip for 2 years and had been through lots of PT. Dr Kollmorgen was SO wonderful with her! He immediately did X-rays and saw she had a hip impingement, and discussed options. The best thing for her was surgery. I felt very confident in him performing the surgery. He explained everything in detail, made us feel comfortable. A family friend of ours was her Anesthesiologist, so he was in the operating room the whole time. He said Dr Kollmorgen did a fantastic job throughout the 3 hour procedure. After surgery, I feel like he went above and beyond with care. I would highly recommend Dr Kollmorgen to anybody! read more

They expect you to come 30 minutes before your actual appointment time and then even after that you have to wait. From my actual appointment time I had to wait over one hour and from the time they requested I got here it was close to 2 hours and that is just before anyone even saw me. I was referred to Dr Charles the first week of June 2019. My appointment was scheduled for June 11th I believe. I went to the office and was seen by the front office staff first I had broken my left shoulder and I am left handed I was given papers to complete and told very rudely that I needed to complete the paperwork or the doctor would not see me I explained I was left handed and couldn't write with my right hand and I was told to do my best which I did. I saw the doctor I believe he's a good surgeon and has integrity however his employees lack integrity. On the day of the office visit I dropped off my completed forms for state disability (SDI) my procedure was completed on July 2nd. I haven't received any SDI payments so I called the office and spoke to Esther who said to me big opps she had put the incorrect information on my forms and that she would fix it and resubmit it then she called me back and said she couldn't do it on line that I needed to mail her in the application again so I did just that but I also called SDI and was advised she could make the corrections on line so I called to let her know. The next thing I knew is Esther said that Dr Charles's made the error by having her say I could return to work on July 1st before I even had surgery. Then I find that my application wasn't submitted like she had said so I spoke with Suzanne who said she looked into it and the paperwork was signed off by the doctor and submitted electronically to SDI. Well when I called SDI I found that my application wasn't received so I called Suzanne who said she checked with Esther and the forms were sent electronically on last Monday after almost losing my mine Suzanne admitted to me that the application was transmitted yesterday so the bottom line is Esther lied to me about submitting the paperwork I did speak to the office manager who apologized to me but I would need to wait for SDI to process my application so it's July 18th I have been waiting since July 1st for my SDI payment and the office staff doesn't really care they received their paycheck without doing their jobs i am certain I am not the first patient that was treated this way I believe Esther needs to find another line of employment she lied about the doctor to me she lied to me and her office manager and her co worker. I believe she will continue to not do her job as I said before I respect Dr Charles and I called him yesterday to advise him of my experience told be told he wasn't in. So if your going to have Dr Charles do a procedure your in good hands just know that some of his staff lie and it can impact you financially as it has me . read more
