They rescheduled me for months later for the operation. I was talking with my friend who recommended Dr. Cortelli. Called and managed to get an appointment for the next day after I explained my situation to Theresa. I got to the office and went in immediately. Went from test to test and then to Dr. Cortelli. More tests than I had in the past. Dr. Cortelli took lots of time to explain that my vision would not be improved much even if I got the toric lenses because of a different problem in my one eye (nothing that needed fixing). All I needed was a new pair of glasses! I cannot express how wonderful Florida Medical's staff was from Julie at the desk, to the technician who did the tests, to Theresa to Dr. Cortelli. If I hadn't gone there, it would have cost me thousands of dollars for toric lenses that would not have helped!

I called into the office to speak to Paulter MD twice during the week and he did not call me back. I was not given informed consent regarding the risk of dilation. But when I talked to his assistant, he immediately told me that people with light colored eyes could be dilated for 48 hours; I was never told this. If people with light colored eyes stay dilated longer, why don't they use less dilation solution? Why don't they use a solution that's not as strong? Why don't they warn them? All good questions but I was unable to speak to the doctor to ask him. The ongoing dilation has interfered with my ability to drive especially at night; it has interfered with my ability to work, it has interfered with my ability to socialize normally but I was not informed of the risks. You have choices about which doctor you go to; don't go to this doctor. Go to a doctor who will call you back when there is a problem. Kevin M, LCSW

So I asked if she was wrong how was she able to get my ins number, so the office manager starts blaming this girl - yet when I asked her if this girl was such an issue why before my visit wasn't this found. The eye doctor checks your eye tests. Explains your eye issues. He is very thorough. Took only 30 minutes to pick my frames and they double check your eye measurements. It takes 2 weeks to get your glasses. I got mine today and I was very happy. A lot cheaper than visionworks. Mine only cost $379 for 2 pairs and the exams ( 2 tests ). I would recommend the $20 test to check for glacoma and diabetes and night blindness. Some insurance companies cover it, but not all. It is a life saver !!! Tell them that I sent you !!!!

Unqualified staff read the report incorrectly & then proceeded to call me demanding that Dr. Cazes needed to see me asap because of an "issue". They refused to elaborate or listen to my concerns, they were rude, discourteous, disrespectful & dismissive. They had me freaked out for 5 days - I couldn't eat or sleep. Turns out, they don't know how to properly read reports or listen to their patients. I would give zero stars if I could. For next year, I'm going to go elsewhere, I suggest you do the same ...
