When my son went off to UC Davis he was recovering from Covid pandemic depression and didn't really want to go to church.

The overall environment felt negative and, at times, openly unkind. I witnessed staff speaking to students in ways that were belittling and inappropriate. In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this school to families looking for a supportive and respectful environment

The teachers and staff are wonderfully communicative and genuinely work to build strong partnerships with parents. The coursework strikes a great balance--challenging students while still ensuring they fully understand the material.

STUNNING WEDDING VENUE (4.5 stars)…read more My good friend married his beautiful love at this location 08.09.14!!! The property was spacious, the church was beautiful, and to witness the union was incredibly sweet. Mass was given (yay! Don't have to go Sunday). Next to the church opens up to a courtyard which held cocktail hour. Open bar of basic beer, wine, and bubbly were served. Mini appetizers were also served by waitstaff on silver platters. There wasn't much shade and everybody went to the side buildings to save themselves from melting in the scorching sun. In the back was another larger outdoor courtyard where the reception was held. For an "all boys" school the restroom was neutral for the evening. BUT we discovered a (fairly clean) women's restroom near the swimming pools. This gorgeous venue also turns erie at night... Lol especially the kids playground resembling a scary scene from a horror film. We rolled super deep for the wedding and all sat together. And every single one of us were blown away by the setup. Buffet style eats, open bar, pictures and videos, homie deep, and talking about "the years" when we all met each other when I was 19 and here we are in our mid 30s celebrating Jtec's wedding!!!! Time flies, I heart my extended BayArea SPAMilia. The best part of the evening... Everybody gone, staff packing up, we all run to the dancefloor, DJ spinning songs just for us, jamming tunes underneath the cold evening night (drunk), and some jumping into the courtyard fountain!!! CLASSIC. That's was one of the funnest weddings I have ever attended. Can someone get engage and have another wedding here!

To protect my kids' privacy, I won't say why I pulled my kids. However, in the time that my kids were enrolled, there was a drug bust, lack of Christian character from so many of the kids, bullying, and shockingly, such ungodly behavior. Most of this behavior is from ministers kids. I hate to have to expose this, but not many speak up and instead just turn their heads. The principal does nothing and turns his head to situations that any parent would be ballistic about. Don't waste your money. All schooling is done online. This school has christian principles that are taught. Its every students decision if they choose to be a christian. I am saving to send my second child there. The teachers are amazing. They pray over their students classrooms. I am so thankful for this school. My child would not have this support and spiritual aspect from a public high school. The pricing is a money saver. I know a few private schools charge 16 grand for tuition. Thank you to Tim Miller, the principle, the entire faculty and staff of Stockton Christian Academy for the impact you have on my child and our family. Theology remains on the conservative side. Do what you will with this information, as it's neither here nor there in terms of how this would affect me rating it. Say goodbye to any other friends you might want to make and keep at Davis or after you finish at Davis. Your time is basically solely dedicated to the church. During freshman year, you'll be invited to so many events. It's fun! Sure, but that means less time to meet new people. Then after in sophomore, junior, and senior year, you're given more and more responsibilities, it will most likely take away from your chances to befriend people outside the church. If you leave, they'll be too busy to acknowledge you or keep in touch with you. I've seen peers do extremely poorly in their studies from spending so much time at the church. It resulted in some of them failing out or having to take remedial courses. Prepare to feel bad and guilty about yourself, by the way. The church doesn't outright teach on grace through action instead of freely given grace, but there's a lot of peer-pressure. Really perpetuates many to be workaholics to show they "love" the church.
