We usually walk the little wooded/paved trail, then through the Willamette River path. We, typically, run into other dog owners and dog-friendly people who enjoy petting our very friendly doodle. With few exceptions, everyone adheres to the, clearly posted, on-leash rule. There are 2 doggy clean-up bag dispensers and dog-owners are extremely mindful about keeping the park super clean. The overall vibe is really pleasant and people of all ages enjoy this place - including lots of teens. If you, or someone you know, has mobility issues, there are wooden benches located on most of the walking paths. On any given day, you'll see people pausing to rest a bit or just enjoying a visit with friends. There is a sheltered structure located in the middle of the park. The surrounding tables and chairs are great for picnics and you can reserve the entire area for private parties. The rest rooms are clean for a public park which I truly appreciate.

If you want to get closer to the water, there are boat ramps you can walk down and a pier lookout. As you meander, you will come across several sculptures and art stones that tell the history of the river. And a Veterans Memorial and a water feature for the kids to play in on hot days. Always lots of people walking their dogs. There is a lovely picnic area with several tables and chairs under a vine covered pergola. For coverage from the rain or sun, there is a large A-frame structure next to it that also has lots of tables, chairs and even a fireplace. You can reserve this area for gatherings through Lake Oswego. We came her to celebrate Mother's Day and a friends birthday, needing to be outside since the two guests of honor recently had Covid. Even though they were three weeks out, we didn't want to take chances so held our celebration here. There was plenty of space for us to be together yet separate. Lots of garbage cans everywhere making it easy to clean up afterwards. In the summer Foothills Park is part of the Concerts in the Park series which I absolutely love! The concerts attract a lot of people so we always come early to get a parking spot and claim our space on the lawn. Lots of families picnicking and kids playing. It's a wonderful way to spend a summer evening! The concerts were cancelled in 2020 & 2021 but we are looking forward to having them resume in 2020. Located just a few blocks from downtown Lake Oswego, Foothills Park is just lovely.

Koch Park is awesome and one of the best parks around the playground is all nice and nearly updated…read moreand there's so many different stations for the kids to play depending on age. There's ample space in Apple parking and if you want to take a break from the playground and there's plenty of trails that walk around the river you can make some loops and more. There's also plenty of covered areas for birthday parties barbecues, or just get together which you can reserve at the beginning of the year they fill up fast.

I've been coming to this park for years! It's a great place to take the grandkids..and an even…read morebetter place to play Pokémon Go! I started playing Pokémon Go back when my daughter had a Pokémon Go themed party for my oldest grandson. I had no clue how to play it. I downloaded the app to participate..and the rest is history! So now, I'm trying to level up to level 50. I've performed the level 50 research tasks, and all that's left is grinding the XP! That's where Magnolia Park comes in! You can find me here many days catching Pokémon, spinning pokestops, battling the gym and leaving a pokemon, defending the gym, doing raids..but most of all, getting my exercise in by walking the routes. There are so many routes at Magnolia Park! I usually pick 4 or 5 to follow, it takes me about an hour of walking to complete. There's incline for a little more difficulty, some routes go across the street to the nearby meadow and back again. And after each route is complete, I am rewarded with XP and hopefully a Zygard cell. I'm trying to collect 200 Zygard cells to change my Zygard form. Anyways, Magnolia Park is great for picnics, there's a big covered area. On this day, there was a family celebration going on. Play areas for the kids, checkerboard tables to play checkers or chess, BYO game pieces. On this particular day we broke a temperature high of 96. Kids of all ages were enjoying the splash pad. There's a tennis court that I frequently play on. People also convert the court to play pickleball here. So much to do, I love it!

Yes, we live in Portland, but it DOES get very sunny here and very hot on some summer days. There isn't enough respite from that sun/heat. And the splash pad isn't on for all that long. What is the deal with that? What I DO love: 2 play structures, one for smaller kids, one for big kids. GREAT since there are options for smaller kiddos. I love that it has a nice big field/grassy area for kids to play soccer, or to picnic on (on a cooler day.) Do beware of the bees/hornets/wasps. The park doesn't have traps. Parking can be a bit tough, so try and make it there while school is in session so that you can park near by. There is a porta potty on site at the park, but it is NOT clean. I will either hold it, or go to the Whole Foods, in walking distance. My kids just use the potty in the trunk of the car because I won't make them use that one. NASTY! They have the makings of a 5 star park BUT: clean the porta potty, add some shade or sails over the play structure to help kids NOT fry in the heat and keep the splash pad on for far longer.

It's a cool spot to hang out and enjoy the day with open space and not too far from food places if you get hungry. Goodwill is right across the street and there's also a Korean War Memorial at this park. Hopefully the water works again on these hot days ahead.

Slightly entertaining ...yet slightly annoying as I ended up a tad messy. No biggie though, winding paths and trails are always greatly appreciated. The parking lot is small but there's some street parking nearby too.

There are trees to climb and stumps but not a lot for elementary aged kids. And the parking. Forget it. There are maybe 8 spaces. And the Southridge tennis team was there practicing so it made parking a challenge. I would not recommend it aside from the fact that it's shaded. That is the big plus. But both my elementary aged kids (6 and 8) found it a bit boring and for little ones.

So today when we grabbed lunch to-go nearby I requested we bring it back to eat amongst the treeeeees. The park is fab...bocce ball courts and volleyball courts, a lovely play area, and picnic tables. Everything looked very well-maintained and clean. And, if you're like me and adore trees, it's just a great place to sit in your car, relax and take them all in while you eat. :)
