I was told a new walker would be provided and it would be delivered within a couple days of my d/c. After a few days & no walker, I called the rehab center to find out who I needed to contact about the walker. I contacted Rotech. The woman that answered the phone started out civil enough. I introduced myself & explained why I was calling. She said they didn't have any walkers. I asked, as in don't sell them? She said they were out of stock. They'd had 20 but ran out. I asked, when might they be in? A day or two? A week? What time frame? She did not like to offer help or information. She finally said, it would be 8 weeks or so. Excuse me? Isn't part of your job as a medical supply company to provide medical supplies? I thought she was joking about the 8 wks... She mumbled something I couldn't understand & I asked, how do you run out? If you had twenty and got down to ten, why wouldn't you order more stock? I don't understand. I need a walker, you are approved through my insurance... She muttered something and hung up on me. Now, about 3 weeks later, I'm in hopes that Lincare will deliver this coming week. They take a couple weeks after dragging about paperwork, then waiting a few days to put in the order? Thankfully a walker was lent to me...

When my dad and his physically disabled wife decided to make their home in Florida, they had no…read moreidea that the more addictive narcotics legitimately prescribed by her doctors would be such a hassle to get filled from ANY of the big named drugstores on almost every corner in this town. Apparently, a minuscule number of patients have overdosed themselves, died, and lawsuits against prescribing doctors and pharmacies that filled these prescriptions were filed and won on behalf of the special nimrods not able to follow their doctors orders or read directions on a bottle. I can see the side of large drug store chains no longer willing to take on that kind of liability but also think it is wrong they are placing a value on human suffering. Alas, that is the way it is here. Dad, at his wits end, went over to Midway Pharmacy, explained his problem, and the pharmacist left his post to consult with them both. He assured them the big chains could fill the scripts they were just unwilling to take the time to do the rather extensive consultations required to protect or limit their liability. He spoke with my step mother at length, deemed her worthy, and they have had no problems getting her scripts filled. Now! When my dad was getting discharged from the hospital, I was given some prescriptions to get filled for him. Naturally, I took them to Midway. Picking them up 20 minutes later, the pharmacist came over to ask how his surgery had went and was he with me? How often have YOU been on a different coast and had the pharmacist inquire after a loved ones health?! He said, with a big smile, "Let him know we are thinking of him and that he looks forward to kicking him in the shin very soon!" Kate was also super helpful when I called with several questions on stocked items and even went to the trouble to put all my requests aside for easier pickup. Nothing but good things to say about Midway Pharmacy- thank you for caring about your customers and doing your duty in putting them first.

Insisted I come in for a "training" not like I was over dosing, I had left over solution I wasn't gonna throw away! Really! The older gentleman basically scolded me and called me a liar! Another occasion I had to call for my refill and they said they reshelved it cause I hadn't picked up for two refills?. They charged me $500 and I never missed a weekly dose? Something very fishy about this place... I was suggested to have my solution 3rd party tested since I've not loss in 9 weeks, was also told I was at the max dose at 55 units. Tonight I was told I'm not at the max dose? What the hell?

I let them know that at the store they wanted to give me the emails to follow up on it which seems right they don't wanna do their job. It's been another week since then. No correspondence no mask. I have to question if this is Medicare fraud. The staff is very inconsiderate and negligent when performing their job I would never recommend this to anyone. I am now going to call Medicare and the doctors office to let them know what is happening. I would never recommend these people, and I will never go there again hopefully their offices in other areas of Florida are better than this

The answering service first operator said someone will call you back shortly. I waited 2 hours and no call so I called back and got a real rude answering service operator named yvonne and she stated someone will call you back on the next business day and I said no I would like someone to come tonight and she stated NO SIR it will have to be tomorrow and I said so I was lied to the first call. She did not respond. Just a warning do not use PORT CHARLOTTE oxygen if you need anything find another company!!! Just read all their 1 star reviews and you decide.
