I have noticed lately that most libraries have reduced the amount of magazine subscriptions they carry. The children's library looks fun and inviting. There are regular events held here for all age groups. For instance, they have a reading program featuring therapy dogs. Library patrons of all ages are encouraged to attend but it is designed to attract young readers.

There are tons of books to read and movies to rent, and they have a nice section with computers for more learning. We recently started participating in STEAM Saturdays, and one of our favorite workshops was on airplane science. My son is now obsessed with learning how to make new models and seeing which ones fly the furthest. We also enjoyed the Christmas party, where the kids got to make gingerbread houses out of recycled milk cartons, graham crackers, icing and all the candy and other goodies. Santa was there, along with a hot chocolate bar. This library knows how to keep kids engaged and make learning and reading fun. I'm so glad we have such a wonderful local library.
