Just when you think you've visited the worst Walmart in your life in another town.... whaam! , here…read moreyou arrive at the Walmart in Pecos Texas. Of course pretty much everything in Pecos Texas is overcrowded, run-down and expensive for what they really are. Except for Walmart! You get your standard Walmart prices but you do not have an automotive department, no 24 hours and even longer lines, but you do get to dodge Isles full of inventory that need to be broken down and items put on the shelves. Also, don't let me get started on the 20 plus people deep line because like overcrowded Pecos Texas everybody is trying to pack 10 pounds of crap in a 5lb bag, Walmart is no exception. This is one place that definitely needed to be a super Walmart. I'm going to hate to give this advice to you but the Family Dollar and general dollar down the road put this Walmart to shame. Now that you might have taken this advice, please do me a favor and do not go into these dollar stores until I am done finished and left this piece of a something town. I don't want my favorite places to get overcrowded. Oh, and before I go one more important thing, the parking lot! You think you're from Houston and driving /parking cannot get any worse than those Asians in Bellaire? Yes those people, but these people put the people that Park in Walmart to shame, actually make them look like professionals or something because if you try to come in here with a nice vehicle you can pretty much be assured you will have 6 Vehicles parked around a 4 space to park a lot around you in Every Which Way but Loose. Stopped in here while passing through Fort Stockton, and I must say I was impressed. This is not a…read morebig walmart, but it is a nice one. Overall, very clean. Even the parking lot was trash free, and there weren't a lot of stray carts lying around (that could either be a testament to Walmart being on top of their game, or to the people of Ft Stockton just being very courteous.. We may never know lol). The interior of the store was a LOT smaller than I have ever seen, but it had the basics. Enough to be called a supercenter, I reckon. The people were friendly, and not just the employees. It appeared to be a true small town walmart, where everyone is just plain friendly to everyone. People of Fort Stockton, although you may not realize it you have a gem in this Walmart. Trust me, I have seen MUCH worse!!

I paid for my diesel and left, had to stop at the next truckstop for things that I needed. The time before I purchased some chicken, hamburger meat, milk and cheese. Everything was out of date and nothing was fresh. I guess they figure once you buy your groceries.. you will figure out how out of date it is when you're too far gone.

This is the sibling bloodline that just jumps out in your face and says come on in! Where else can you get a loaf of bread, your Subway sandwich or steak sandwich, nachos while stockpiling up on Hardware item and tools while your diesel truck is filling up outside? This is just the perfect size of what every neighborhood need instead of a big ass Walmart to stamping the mom and pop stores whenever it decides to land. The one bad thing about here I can tell you is the restrooms are pretty nasty and beat up, y'all need to learn to flush the damn toilets and stop pissing everywhere a name for the urinals! Now on the other side it would help if the staff would stock up on the soap once in awhile and include paper products, it's like you either get paper towels one day or so that the other day but rarely both, and that goes for the nachos outside as well you either get cheese or you get jalapenos or you get chips Almost Never the three at the same time. Why the four stars for this place? Because two times worse that allsups across the street which really has nothing appealing for what you wanted set for high prices and rudimentary Personnel versus the staff here which are always friendly, and I mean always.
