No one ever answers the phone at any locations including the corporate office in Paducah, Ky. I have been waiting for fuel for almost 2 weeks, I did receive call backs from local office but all that amounted to was dishonesty and the run around. It is a shame that a person cannot speak with customer service other than sending an online request form. United Propane President, CEO, Board of Directors where are you? Apparently not at United Propane running the company and helping your customers out! Where is your loyalty to the customers, I see that you have a loyal customer of 30 years and I'm sure there are hundreds more. I have been a customer of UPG for over 40 years. We have a standing order to keep the tank fueled. A few years ago they put a device on the tank that notifies them when the tank is low. Two weeks ago, it ran out of propane because the electronic device states 60%. I have called several times in the last two weeks for propane and my tank stays empty. My elderly parents called when their tank was at 30% which is when the company tells you to call. 9 days later and my parents are using a kerosene heater and space heaters trying to stay warm. The worst company I have ever used in my life. In 2021 the company was sold. I had a prepaid contract for gas. When I called for a delivery it took weeks for the delivery to be made and as a result I had run out of propane for Christmas during the coldest part of the year. It was in the teens and I had no heat. I later found out that most of the current employees had to quit after the company was sold because the delivery drivers salaries were cut by a large amount. Now its 2022 and I gave the company a second chance to prove they are reputable and the same thing is happening, prepaid for 500 gallons and needed a fill and after almost three weeks no truck has come. I'm writing this review about united. Propane. Gas . There main office is in Paducah Ky, last spring when we had the winter storm that lasted about a week. We had placed an order for propane. The driver/delivery man had complained about a tree limb that he wanted me to cut. He could get under it, and I had my mother staying with us. I ended up climbing the ice covered tree that by then, with the ice and snow was now actually in the way. From the time that we ordered until the atom was around a week and a half. But they just kept passing by everyday. I ended up spending over 300.00$ for 20 lb. Thanks and 2 heater heads and had to drive to another town about 15 miles away! It was about a month before we finally got a delivery from upg. I was ready to hook my tractor to their tank and drag it to the end of my driveway! Well since then, we have had 2 deliverys both of which they added $ to our account. 55.00$ first. They said at two different offices that it was a mistake and we would be credited for it on our next order. Well guess what? Not only did they not credit the 55.00$ but added on another 20.00$ and said that now the minimum order is 150 gallons. And the propane price has went up a dollar a gal. So we are back down to very low in the tank. But I don't know if we will get anymore before running out! PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE THAT WE DID! This company is an absolute joke. My grandmother who is 72 years old, in her home has not had gas for 4 days. She is currently in temps of 17 degrees. Worst customer service in the world. Truly, I have never encountered such negligence. We are only trying to pay our bill - final payment on the purchase of our propane tank. For a week now, no one will return our call so that we can do this. Out of desperation, I am sending a check. The problem is: they keep adding on a ridiculous amount of interest each month. So, we don't know exactly how much we owe. They never send a bill. THey let amounts accrue so they can earn more interest. I moved in 2015. It's 2018. I closed out my account with them and was paid in full. The people who moved into the house filled up a propane tank... IN MY NAME. This company never changed the name on the address. About every 3 to 6 months they send me a bill and I have to call and complain, they tell me its resolved then repeat. I'm writing this review as of 2-12-2021. We have our has service with u.p.g. In Dawson Springs Ky, we had 11% in our tank on Monday Feb. 8th. Prices are up from 1.59/ gal. In Nov. 2020 to 2.08 on Feb. 8th. But we still need out gas. Coldest weather on record forecasted for the weekend and then 2 different snow storms on the way! Customer care/support is non existent. Logistics is non existent. They show up when they want, no care or concern to even call customers about what day delivery could be. If they got organized with routes they could possibly be efficient. Customers could know when they will get gas, and if there was bad weather they can know if they had to be skipped and why, so they can fix any issues with delivery (i.e. plow snow). Calling the customers they plan on delivering too and asking if the area is ready for delivery. I'm in sales and delivery myself and I would be fired day two of I ran my business like upg. Up your game. You have competition and it will be used. Been waiting for over a week for propane and haven't even heard from them, called up and asked about my order to only be told "we have your order." Not even a guess at eta. Hands down, the worst company I have ever seen. They've owed me money since December (it's almost may) and keep telling me one thing after another as to why I haven't received my refund. Never answer the phone, never return phone calls etc.. One just has to Google their reviews (UPG) to see how horrible their customer service is.
