Deciding to go with Joseph at United Epoxy was definitely the best decision I've made as a new home owner needing my garage floor epoxied. There were plenty of other epoxy companies out there, but as someone who values working one on one with people I wanted someone who I could trust and rely on to understand me as a customer. Joseph treated my garage as if it were his own, and took pride in his work. I gave him the time and space to do his thing, and even if I wasn't around, he made sure to keep the utmost quality. Excellent communication and the finished job was excellent. That said, the owner never once arrived on time and was required to return a 3rd day to finish up. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to use this business again. The quality and value are well worth it. The owner suggested an epoxy for the stairs and what a difference it made. Working with Joe and his team was awesome. My wife and I requested a specialty coating and from day one, Joe was very honest and let us know that because each coating is different, he would try to mimic what we were after but couldn't promise it to be a carbon copy. He did, however, tell us that if it didn't come out the way we envisioned he, he would remove and re-coat the floor one time to try again. Luckily, Joe made our vision come to life and the second coating was unnecessary. Joe also was priced much more fairly than other specialty epoxy coating installers. He was well below the $10 per square foot average and stated it was because he does everything he can to make each coating perfect, the drying process can sometimes create unwanted bubbling, debris, and other imperfections, and though I knew this, I appreciated Joe for being upfront and letting a customer know that he strives for perfection, but environmental conditions can sometimes impact an otherwise perfect coat. I asked lots of technical questions about product to try to find the best balance of what we were looking for, and Joe and team were very good at letting us know the differences between products, as well as making appreciated suggestions. The process did take a bit longer than we would have liked, but specialty epoxy takes a bit longer than standard epoxy/flake systems so we understood. We also had some lapses in communication with Joe in the planning phases as mentioned by others, but after seeing him on the jobsite, we understood that it was simply because he is fully invested in getting the job at hand done before taking on other work. He does the majority of the work and all of the booking, so understand that it may take a little longer to get a response but the end result is extremely worth it! We would highly recommend Joe to anyone, and we appreciate his thoroughness, knowledge, and overall amazing final product. We would definitely have him do another garage for us in the future!

Just had my garage done by Joseph and it awesome! He knocked out this job so fast and looks so clean. We did our research and called many companies, got bids. He beat them all! Plus he's cool AF, works fast and is clean. Getting epoxy on your floors makes your garage look like a completely different space but, it has to be done right. He grinder our concrete, fixed all our cracks then did side walls and ended right at our garage door. It'll look weird if you go outside door. These details are very important because once this material hardens there's no going back. He also was very open to all of our questions & concerns offering to return if we had an issue because there is a warranty on materials. The experience with United epoxy floors was OK the guy works with him self so the job takes longer than I expected he told me two days but became four days but he only works four hours a day , that's OK if you have the time . the job turned out to be OK I do have shiny spots and dull spots in the floor I would hope that would be shiny all the way across I think you didn't use enough resin on the last layer but I could be wrong all in all it was OK , job price was a little high quoted me $1900 on the phone when he got there it was $2200 wasn't happy about that but I didn't argue read more

Had my floors done in my brand new home in mid-February, 2020. This is going to be my "forever" home so I wanted to invest in a good, high-quality floor for my garage that will last at least my projected 20 years. United Epoxy floors was a little more expensive than I originally had budgeted for but the quality of the work is undeniable. I asked for a heavy broadcast and they sure delivered on that request, as it's the densest, heaviest broadcast I've ever seen. The floor looks stunning and from moving a bunch of heavy stuff into the garage I can already tell it's an incredibly durable floor that will last a very long time. This epoxy isn't going to chip or wear away like the $100 kit you get at Home Depot and I love it. I think it was Joe who did the installation and he was always on time or early and very professional about his work. He was friendly but didn't waste time talking with me or screwing around. I think the installation took two or three days from start to finish and I felt happy with the pace and quality of his work. I have zero complaints and this floor is evidence that you certainly get what you pay for. I'm a buy once/cry once kind of person and at least I have confidence that I won't have to redo this floor for a very long time, if ever. read more

I bought an older home with a 2 car garage that had never been touched up on or really even cleaned. I called Joe about a week before the house closed and coordinated a day and time for him to be there. He emailed me sample colors right away, gave recommendations and expectations for time frames to get the job completed. I sent him pictures of the areas I thought were problematic and he responded quickly with assurances. Joe was on time/early to the appointment, kept me in the loop the entire time and did a heck of job overall. The garage itself looks brand new and absolutely amazing. Established in 2016.

I began my career in protective coatings in 2002 with Stonhard, installing industrial flooring systems in aircraft hangars, emergency rooms, warehouses, and pharmaceutical facilities—environments where proper preparation and installation are critical. From there, I moved into decorative epoxy flooring, working with established flooring companies throughout Southern California and gaining experience with a wide range of coating systems and finishes. In 2012, I joined Polycoat Coatings as a Technical Advisor. I worked closely with the technical team and chemists behind the products, developing a deeper understanding of coating chemistry, surface preparation, system design, and proper application. After years of experience on both the installation and manufacturer sides of the industry, I founded United Epoxy Floors in 2016. Today, that background guides every project we install: careful preparation, the right system for the concrete, quality materials, and no shortcuts

Proud owner of United Epoxy Floors, my name is Joseph Nichy III. My last name has been tied to protective coatings excellence for generations. I’m a rare third-generation coatings specialist. My grandfather, Joseph Nichy Sr., was a true “Pittsburgh Steeler,” applying protective coatings to nearly every major steel bridge in Pennsylvania. My father, Joseph Nichy Jr., was a pioneer in early protective coatings and remains one of the most respected experts in the industry, with over 45 years of experience. I grew up in this world. Protective coatings are in my blood, and for the past 22 years, I’ve dedicated my career to mastering epoxy flooring at the highest level. I take pride in being the best at what I do.
