Personable…read more I was in search of a bonded professional local firm that does pressure washing and I was very pleased to find H2O in Delmar (apparently the two men are from Delmar but think they live in Albany. Their scheduler and her office are in Delmar.) The two fellows who came are middle aged and have lots of experience. One was chatty, the other laconic but both were friendly and welcomed questions. My house seriously needed to be cleaned (I'd been hesitant due to the bleach solution and not wanting water to get under the siding --or do end up with damage to the siding. They went right at it and were done in an hour+. The house looks great, the bleach wasn't excessive and they described the job when they were finished. It was nice that they didn't collect payment until their work was completed. I chose to wait until early fall as I didn't want to have the adjacent landscaping hurt during the growing season. They apparently work in the fall as well as the spring and summer. Their scheduler is a pistol: very direct and a bit snappy but softens in conversation. I was impressed to receive a reminder call the afternoon before. I would strongly recommend this firm. Their pricing is fair and they advised me that they lock in their costs for returning customers (joking that they had no increase in potential sales tax increases.) The bag of chips on the side was the opportunity to keep money in the local community.

So, I went with a different company this year. The good news: A Fuller Service came when they said they would; their price ($200ish) for my house seemed reasonable; and their female receiptionist was very friendly. The bads news: First, they are impossible to get ahold of on the phone. I called during their business hours at least 8 times over the course of several weeks and never once got to talk to a real person despite pushing "1". Only leaving phone messages worked. Second, when I booked my appointment I was given a window of a couple of weeks for them to contact me with a final date when they would show up. When they did send me the date, it was in a text message and the message errorenously didn't list the date! I called them back to confirm but, you guessed it... phone message. Third, when they showed up the first time they forgot to do the gutters on my garage. That really bugs me, as I specifically mentioned it during booking and the receptionist told me that she left a note in the file. Upon seeing the garage roof gutters dirty, I called to complain but you guessed it... phone message. The did come back after to correct it. So, I dunno. If you don't mind leaving phone messages AND you are home when they arrive so you can point out things they will miss (despite telling them in advance to focus on) the process should be smooth. But I found it frustrating.
