A few months ago United Airlines added a new ultra-long-haul flight to Asia, with daily direct flights from SFO (San Francisco) to MNL (Manila), and for what I experienced it has been extremely successful.
I frequently fly to Asia for business and pleasure, usually from LAX, SFO, or SEA (US West Coast) connecting through Incheon, South Korea, or Haneda, Japan to other destinations, often visiting several countries during my trip, I am thrilled that UA has added a long overdue daily nonstop service to MNL Terminal 3, prior, the only nonstop option was Philippines Airlines, MNL T3 is a great layover terminal, not only is new, modern, clean, and efficient but was built with the convenience of passengers in mind, is located within 2-4 hrs from international cities like Macau, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, Taipei, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, etc, and direct access via sky bridge to Newport City Hotels, restaurants, and shopping mall with a complimentary shuttle.
The best part is, UA189/UA190 SFO-MNL route is served with their lasted and greatest cabin product, the B777-300ER with amazing and extremely comfortable seats, compared to their older and still in use B777-200, even better if you are flying Polaris, which I consider a superior product to Delta Airlines D1 (Delta One) or American Airlines Flagship First or Business.
Flying business from SFO you'll enjoy access to Polaris Lounge, one of the best airport lounges in the US, and SilverKris lounge (Singapore Airlines) in Terminal 3 MNL (also accessible with Priority Pass).
Happy travels! read more
