In terminal A, there are a few restaurants that you can sit down and enjoy a meal, and there are a few coffee shops and gift shops to buy souvenirs or frozen food to take back. Overall this airport is great, clean, and has a few options to satiate your hunger.

We had to stop here in Monterrey, on the way from Quintana Roo to Texas. The flight lacked legroom, and everything onboard was plastered with advertisements. There was no meal, no complimentary tequila shots once we got airborne. There was no inflight movie. The flight staff all seemed so redundant on the ground here in Monterrey. They'd have everyone stand in line to get their documents scanned and checked, and stapled, then stand in another line in the next room over to do the exact same thing. It kinda felt like the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. The planes were clean, and we managed to stay within a few hours of the departure time. After they counted all of the fees for baggage, choosing a seat, etc. it might've just about been cheaper to fly AeroMexico.

They told me I probably didn't have the proper documentation and to get out of line which pissed me off because they paperwork was for those who had Mexican passports but I had the American one in hand so they just took it and let me in. The airline had more than half the flight empty but when I was looking for Seats it had stated that they had very limited seats to pick from. I've had better success with Spirit and that's saying something. I only flew with them due to a last minute family emergency, never will I be flying with them again. They were calling my dad's name when he was already in front of a worker being assisted. Ive never had to use the air in a flight ever and I fly quite this time it was very necessary. To tell you the quality was really lacking is and understatement. No it's not because its Mexico I've flown to Mexico before but this one by far was the worst experience and it sucks because I just showed my dad this horrible experience as his first flight.

Once my buddy dropped me off, I proceeded to check in my bags and get my boarding pass. I spent a few minutes at the Starbucks here, before proceeding through security and toward my gate. This terminal has plenty of shops and brands from back home, but I almost never shop at airports unless there is a dire need. If you are in need of sunglasses or travel accessories, then fret no more, you can find them here. I stopped by to eat the Wings, which is a diner commonly found at airports throughout Mexico. More info on this chain in another review. My time at this airport en route home was great. It was the cherry on top to my outstanding vacation in Nuevo Leon.

The bar and ground level foyer area is very large with guests having business meetings during the morning and afternoon, with drinks from the bar in the evening. The 24 hour fitness center / pool is nice but has limited exercise equipment. They do have a rack of small free weights. The executive lounge on the 9th floor was a nice amenity that I used each morning to have breakfast. The breakfast buffet had several eggs dishes, bacon, beans, and a table of fresh fruit and pastry's. My room on the 6th floor was very clean and spacious. The king bedding was nice, but the towels were very rough. Overall I would stay at the MS Milenium on my next visit. The hotel is in a great area of the city with plenty of shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
