I mean for full disclosure, ABE is not ORD or SFO or LAX in terms of size, but that's also its advantage. Admittedly, did it cost more to fly from here versus PHL/EWR/BWI? Without question but at the same time, the security here was faster than fast with no one in line and on the back end, it was maybe 12 minutes from deplane to checked bag in hand. Where the hell else can you do that? I don't care about parking because Uber & Lyft are very prevalent and there is a separate waiting area for all of that on the second floor by departures. Probably about a three minute wait on that one. Sure, a few bucks could have been saved by going somewhere larger with more service but this place is simply too easy and simple not to use. As long as there isn't a significant pricing difference compared to larger airports, this is where you want to fly from.

Why when I travel, I try to leave out of Lehigh Valley International Airport. I've flown out of here a few times, and even though I've had some frustrating delays due to weather or crew issues, I still enjoy flying out of Lehigh Valley International Airport. Since it's not a huge airport, Lehigh Valley International Airport only has a few airlines, so unless you're specifically looking for a certain airline, you might want to consider Mama Joe City Terminal instead. However, they do offer flights with some major airlines, like Delta and American Airlines, as of the time of this review. There aren't many gates which is good, as I appreciate the straightforward approach to getting to your gate. I often fly with American Airlines, so it's a good choice because I use it to connect to buses (yes, they have buses too) to flights to major airports. One nice thing about taking the bus from the airport is that you don't have to go through security again at the connecting airport. There aren't as many food options as you might find at other airports, but there are enough if you need food or a drink. They also have other amenities for travelers with specific needs. If you're bringing your dog, they have a pet relief area. If you have kids, they can go to the play area and burn off some extra energy from sitting on or barding the flight. If you're a nervous flyer, there's a sensory room to help you calm down and focus before your flight. I also like the different book nooks around the airport where you can take or leave a book for free. Unless I'm fly at the right time, I don't seem to wait around long. I usually give myself about 2 hours to get to my gate, but I've sometimes arrived at the gate five minutes after I get arrived at the airport. I've have however almost missed my connecting flight because of weather or crew and gate issues flying out of here. One time, my return flight had to wait 30-35 minutes on the runway, because the only open gate had a plane disembarking, and we had to wait for them to move the plane and dock. There were other gates open, but not enough staff was working and was frustrating to wait. I generally enjoy flying out of this airport. It's not a huge hub, and delays can sometimes eat into your time for connecting flights, but it's usually a good and dependable option for getting to your destination.

Susan at the Delta counter was so kind and helpful and managed to have the fob retrieved from the jet as it was being boarded for another flight. I live almost 2 hours from the airport, and would have had a major headache if I didn't have my key. We always fly from Allentown because it is the closest airport Delta flies from. The Delta staff there have always been efficient and friendly....and this time, Susan really saved my ass!

I called Sunday as the website says to print tickets (who has a printer anymore) the bus driver will not look at your phone for proof. I called back again as I was unsure the address was correct after researching it and she added again with more attitude than the first time that it was 12 mechanic street. I apologized before asking and after asking and tried my absolute best to be as nice as possible in order to obtain correct information. When I arrived at 12 mechanic street it was a bunch of homes on a dark residential street. I then walked ten minutes at 5:30am to the sands casino, where I found a worker leaving for the day who told me it was a 17 minute walk to the rite aid on a Main Street after the casino. 17 minute walk is very far with a roller bag, and why would a representative give me the wrong information twice. What if I was with my 2 year old daughter, or my wife. IT GETS BETTER. I finally made it to my 6:30am bus 11 minutes early. I approached a parked bus completely drenched in sweat and said "good morning sir is this the bus to 30th st station and can I buy a ticket from you" bus driver said in the absolute rudest tone "this bus goes to New York" and slammed the door in my face. So I went inside to the little shack and bought a ticket. CASH ONLY. Nothing written anywhere on the website, and since I was told to go to the wrong place nearly 20 minutes away twice, I'm guessing the Bieber bus company DOESN'T want your business. GUESS WHAT IT GETS BETTER. I got on the bus and passed out and wound up at 30st station. As the bus driver was opening up the luggage area I simply asked him "can I go right in here to get a train to the airport" he took a deep breath followed by a sigh, looked at me like I was the dumbest person on the earth and said "there are 3 ways to get to airport, by train, by taxi, or you can walk" Does anybody know how to help others. I wasn't sarcastic or unpleasant or condescending to anyone and these people working for this company were all rude with misinformation. Honestly when machines and robots do this particular job the world will be a better place. The Bieber bus company gets you where you need to go but you will see the people running the show are the absolute worst people alive. Our flight was postponed 3 additional times, then cancelled. By this time it was almost midnight. The airline offers no help, advice or direction as to how you can get home. YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN! We had a difficult time because most car rental places would not do a one way rental. Thanks to AVIS! They did one was rentals for many of us to be able to get home. It's not only that we want to go home, many other things need to be considered. My husband only had so much insulin with him. I had a job to go to. We had a dog sitter to pay. We had the expense of another night in a hotel because I didn't feel we were fresh enough to start out driving at midnight on a 10-12 hr trip home. We sat in TREMENDOUS amounts of traffic driving from Myrtle Beach to Allentown, Pa on a Friday. I can complain all I want. The airline gave us $100. each and a voucher for the flight cost (about $125.) But the hotel was $96., the car was just shy of $400. plus gas and our time. The plain truth is... The airlines just DONT CARE!

They offer high prices tickets, charge you up the wazoo for bags (actually initially tried to charge us double until we protested), and of course you can "buy" snacks, not so much as a cookie for free, and they have the least friendly flight attendants I've ever encountered (and that includes Delta's!) And the last straw is that they left the gate late with no explanation, so we had to run to the next flight without time to buy food. Oh wait, did I say flight? I mean BUS, which was very unclear that my connection with "landline" was not a flight (even though the app says "Flight Number" is was a 1.5 hour bus ride that ended up being 2:15! These people are the worst. It's 2024, where are the transporter machines?

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Uber Courier…read more When I arranged this delivery, I provided clear and specific instructions through the app. I included the recipient's name and telephone number, the company name, and the exact suite number. I also selected the appropriate delivery option. I did not authorize the package to simply be left outside the building. The driver called me when they arrived for the pickup, so I had no reason to think there would be a problem with the delivery. When the driver called at the drop-off, I sent a message through the app explaining exactly where to go, including the company and suite number, and provided the contact information that had already been included with the delivery instructions. Instead of following those instructions or attempting to contact the recipient, the driver left my client's package on the floor between the front and lobby doors. They apparently did not even go inside the building. This put me in an extremely embarrassing position with my client. I arranged this delivery through Uber because I trusted that the instructions I provided would be followed. Instead, I was left looking completely unprofessional because the package was simply abandoned in an inappropriate location. What made the situation even more frustrating was Uber's response when I complained. I went through their complaint process and was initially offered a refund, only to subsequently be told that Uber could not provide one. This is also not the first time I have experienced problems with Uber's handling of an issue. At some point, Uber needs to recognize that there are actual customers on the other end of these deliveries who are trusting the company to provide a service and then trusting customer support to address problems when that service fails. I am extremely disappointed--not only with how this delivery was handled, but with how Uber handled my complaint afterward. My client was unhappy, I was unhappy, and Uber ultimately did nothing meaningful to resolve the situation.
