I took my Craftsman 8HP mower in for repair. I asked the only guy there on that Saturday of they even worked on Craftsman and he said yes,. I got a call saying it needed a new carburator and that I should purchase it because it would probably take them four weeks to get the part. So I did and dropped it off. A few days later my wife gets a call it is repaired. I went in to pick it up and the cost was $425 and change. It only has two nuts on it to remove and replace it. They replaced the gas, added some fuel mixture ( no problem) but with me buying the part I was expecting around $75 for the repair. What a RIPOFF!! I felt I needed to pay for the charge. but will let everyone know how I felt about the amount.. I don't mind paying for a service but this is no where near a fair price. Also the management asked me to send an email to them and I did 5 days agao. And I got CRICKETS!! no response at all. read more
