Along about midnight, some cave troll waddled up and asked if I had permission from the church to be stopped and sleeping. Asked why it was an issue for me to be sleeping in my truck, WAAAAAY out of sight for almost all motorists, and was told "because. You need to leave". Very Christian of you. Most of the "art" inside is equally "inspiring." Other than the bas-reliefs of Joseph&Mary with the Child Jesus, and the ascended Christ looming over the altar, it's a blah church in the round. Architecturally&artistically, not that great. In other aspects, it shines, like its neighboring Adoration Chapel, and services like the St. Vincent de Paul food bank. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer&participate in serving the community. While the church is meh&the worship is alright, it's the community that matters.

We are a theologically progressive congregation that worships in mostly (though not completely) traditional ways. We sing, pray, work, laugh, worship and grow together in community. We are deeply engaged in justice and peace work in the community and in the world, are a safe and welcoming place for GLBTQ Christians, are diverse in our ages, gifts, family structures, political beliefs, and through it all we gather together to be the body of Christ. I love the folks who worship here and love that some people have been here a long time and others are new to the church, new to the denomination, and even new to following that Jesus guy.
