Brenda, the owner, has always been so good to our family over the years, so when I got engaged, I knew I wanted to visit her shop first. I had a very specific "vision" in mind for my wedding dress, but I was convinced that it didn't exist and we would have to piece it together using a seamstress. In the week leading up to my appointment, I sent Brenda some pictures of dresses that had features that I liked, but it was very scattered (i.e. I like the top of this one, the bottom of this one, the way this one does that, etc). It's impossible to tell what these dresses look like on the hanger, so when we arrived for my appointment, I just let Brenda pick out dresses for me. I kid you not, as soon as I tried on the VERY FIRST DRESS she had for me, I knew it was the one. She then pulled a few more pieces (lace bolero, veil, and belt) that really tied the whole thing together and was exactly what I envisioned. It didn't look piecemeal by any means, but rather like it was all made to go together in the first place. I cannot thank Brenda enough. Wife went to get her wedding dress at this place. Customer Service was subpar, they did not tell her special offers they had. The salesladies were only concerned about selling the highest priced dress, and were dismissive to the type of dress my wife was looking for. Also, make sure to write down the prices they tell you to pick up the dress, as they changed it on my wife from one day to the next. Once you pay for the dress, watch out for long waits as the customer service is non-existent then. I would not recommend this place. read more

I have had an awful experience with this bridal shop!!!! If you decide to use them....ORDER YOUR DRESSES 6 MONTHS IN ADVANCE!!! We ordered a full length dress, paid for it to be rush delivered and paid in full the day we ordered. What we got was a tea length dress and a half hearted apology after they fully admitted that they screwed up and ordered the wrong dress. Then on top of that, they re-ordered the dress and could only promise that they could get it to their store 5 days before the wedding that was taking place in Nashville TN. No one offered any kind of refund or complimentary alterations!! My wedding is ruined....THANKS FOR NOTHING!!! read more

THE ONLY REASON I purchased my dress here was because of Clara. She is awesome. The owner, horrible! My mom caught her checking out the price tag and wrinkling up her nose in disgust because the gown I chose was only $700. That is still alot for a dress. And I bought other stuff in there. How rude! Be grateful anyone is even buying from you. I could of went anywhere else, including Gina's Bridal and Gift Gallery to get a wedding dress but I chose here. Gina at Bridal and Gift is a bit absent minded but will always find you the perfect dress. .l If I didn't know Clara then I would of walked out and went across the street to look at Bridal and Gift Gallery. Clara needs a raise because she is probably the only reason your getting any business. The other sales girl kept wanting to tell me about her wedding. I didn't care, it was MY day I was worried about and really wished she would of left me alone. I called and had a good experience speaking to a consultant. We talked about what I was looking for, and even though they didn't have the exact dress I was interested in seeing, I felt comfortable making an appointment. My appointment was for a weekday, and as far as I know I was the only client in the store at the time. When we arrived, it was as if no one was aware of our appointment. After filling out their form and speaking to the consultant I'd spoken to on the phone, I never saw that consultant again. The owner walked around with and spoke to us, but we pulled all but one of the dresses I tried on ourselves. No assistance trying on beyond removing dresses from the garment bags. Given that there were no others in the store and I had an appointment, I expected their full attention and even some dresses already pulled when we arrived. Disappointing first attempt at trying on dresses as I'd hoped the consultants would share in my joy. Although I would love to shop locally, I ultimately went to the David's Bridal in Albany. read more
