What I love about her is her ability to find romance and whimsy in details... her shots aren't overly formal or staged. In the process, you become more and more comfortable as the subject instead of feeling like an object. But, for the record, she also captures objects too - and quite beautifully! What's included in the package is made unclear, so I never got what I expected. In addition, during the shoot he said that he could take my arm out if I had it on my kiddo and when I reminded him of this later, he said that was considered a complex edit and would cost money but they'd do it complmenetary that time. Had he told me this at the time of the shoot, we would have done something differently to get photos without me there in the background. Not cool.

Miguel came to my parents' house and took photos in their backyard. He got pictures of my parents together, with each of us kids, with our own families, and with all the grandkids too. I'd like to think I am not a vain person, but when I needed my passport pictures taken, I wanted…read moresomething I would like for 10 years. :) I had pictures taken at both Walgreens and CVS, and while they "would do", those poor folks are not photographers - just click, and keep on to the next person. I wanted something more professional and MWD was the ticket. Maggie did a great job making sure everything was just right (hair, clothes placement, all the details that rushed retail folks don't have time for). I also liked that I could actually see the photo to confirm I liked it, and we took multiple shots to get the one I wanted. Maggie was able to get European-compliant photos for me, and I had no problem at the consulate when applying for a passport. Worth the price!

She was such a huge help when scheduling out our wedding day timeline, which helped us greatly. Laura, and her assistant Deonna, were so patient and organized even when our transportation to the picture location (carrying more than half the wedding party) arrived almost 45 minutes later than expected. They handled it like pros! She still managed to wrangle everyone throughout the chaos and totally went with the flow. They still got all the images checked off the list. We had constant comments all day long about how professional they were from everyone who came in contact with them. Everyone, including us, is gushing over the sneak peek photos she has posted.
