Went to a retreat spondored by Bom Dia and was very disappointed. The massages were the only…read moredecent part of this experience. The retreat was poorly organized and executed. When my concerns were brought up to the organizer, Adriana, I was met with a blank stare. Tried to follow up with her and she was not empathic and said I must have misunderstood what was being offered. The accommodations were not properly vetted (she had never been to the site beforethis retreat), were unhygienic (filthy every where from bathroom to common areas) did not have hiking trails or safe outdoor areas as advertised. The food was not what I was expecting at a "wellness" retreat, especially as I mentioned my friend was a vegetarian and does not eat cheese... .one meal was a charcuterie board and bag of lettuce. There was no one actually in charge of organizing meals, for breakfast someone put out the makings of smoothies, which we later learned we were to make and clean up our own smoothies or you could have prepackaged tasteless hardboiled eggs (absolutely disgusting) Aside from the accommodations and food. The "life-coaching" was sitting for hours while Tom wrote illegibly on a white board, which was not my idea of relaxing or wellness, as I attend meetings for work regularly and do not want to relive it on my weekends. Breakout sessions and discussion groups might have been better. The yoga was minimal, and I dont believe it was with a certified instructor, as she offered no modification, and there were several people with no yoga experience who needed instruction and got none. This was a waste of money and time.

OK... novice massagee here... is that really a word? Anyway, this was my first massage. The…read morebuilding is fairly quiet and relaxing which lets face it, helps the experience dramatically. I booked an hour and upon arrival was met and immediately taken back to a room. I explained my areas of concern and the massage began. Soft and gentle... more for relaxion I am sure. Then comes what basically I was waiting for... get those knots out and let me tell you the lady doing the massage did NOT hold back! She asked 4-5 times if the massage was too strong which I greatly appreciated as she may have possibly mistaken a flinch as a reaction to pain. At any rate, my neck and back got more than ample attention and I definitely felt well afterwards. Somewhere around the 45 minute mark I was asked if I wanted to extend to a 90 minute session. I agreed just to see what more would be done, but in retrospect probably should not and will not do that again. The intensity of the massage slowed soon after but did allow the introduction of a hot oil treatment which did feel quite nice. So, would I recommend the place? Most definitely, but I would keep it under an hour unless you looking for pampering, then go for the extended massage. The only bad experience was at checkout when I paid for the additional 30 minute. I felt a bit pressured to include a tip for services which I was going to do anyway, but in cash, not the credit card I was using to pay.

I had a great first experience at this Elements location! I've been to other massage studios in the…read morepast, and since this location is so close to my home, I wanted to check it out during a weekend of self-care. I booked a 90 minute hot stone massage for a Friday evening ... only a couple of days in advance. It was super easy to schedule this through their website - and they even listed short bios about all of the massage therapists, and their styles. I arrived and checked in easily ... if it's your first time visiting, you do need to arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out some paperwork. My massage therapist, Alexis was so sweet and knowledgeable. She asked a few targeted questions to determine what areas would be best to focus on during the massage, and then explained to me the differences between Himalayan salt stones and regular hot stones. Unfortunately, those stones would turn into a bit of an issue ... Alexis said she'd grabbed a warmer that wasn't typically used, and as a result, it wasn't keeping the stones very hot. Even though this was a stressful situation, and definitely not want you want to have happen during something that's supposed to be relaxing, Alexis handled this brilliantly. Since it was a 90 minute massage, she was able to swap the warmer out for a better one halfway through, and ended up taking the hot stones off my bill altogether for the hassle. Her customer service is some of the best I've experienced, and she did all of this calmly and quickly, without even making it into a big deal, AND while still giving me a fantastic full body massage. Although this wasn't exactly the relaxing evening I'd thought it would be, I still left feeling great, and I would definitely return for another massage with Alexis. It sounds like their membership is worth it as well ... especially since unused credits rollover month to month!
