This variety store carries everything, I mean everything from A to Z. If you want it you can get it here without having to drive outside of your neighborhood. You'll pay a premium for that particular needed item if it's not on sale that day, but it's worth it for the convenience. They're open fairly early and close fairly late. The workers are pleasant and helpful in guiding you to that obscure needed item. There's hardly ever a long line, but if there is it moves quickly. Convenient, helpful, pleasant...Throggs Neck Discount Center got what you need.

Guys here also carry a variety of veggies and have several aisles of fully stocked shelves. One side of their large glass counter has the deli meat+ cheeses, followed by pre-packaged mixed greens, Salad toppings and prepared meals- which they can heat up. On days I don't bring lunch to work, I get an eggplant sandwich with lettuce/tomatoes or go for the eggplant on mixed greens with other veggies- that are both winners for me. The Spanish-speaking guys working on the kitchen side are always helpful and know my picky ways and the owners are friendly. Budget-friendly is not. But know this- S&W comes handy on this end in E. Tremont.

I regularly come here for a few household items. While it's not exactly the cheapest and can trend a little pricey for a discount shop, the prices are nothing too steep. The staff is generally friendly, mostly keeping to themselves while constantly stocking shelves and rotating inventory. It's a fair experience. Not amazing, but definitely never disappointing.
