Sadly, the funeral arrangement we paid $100's of dollars for was not at the funeral home at 4pm. When I called the florist, the person on the phone told me deliveries started at 4. When I told him my concern that the funeral was a one day and that we paid a lot for these arrangements, I was told the deliveries could not be made earlier because the funeral home would not allow. That was a lie, I had spoken to the funeral director and they take deliveries as soon as 2pm and they don't turn any deliveries away unless they are a day too early. I was also reminded that they could not expedite the delivery because I was not the only one and they served over 30,000 customers. I told the man, I'm sorry, I didnt.realize I was not the only customer and I hung up. The manager preceeded to call me back on his cell, and without me saying a word, he said, "What I can do for you is just cancel your order." Just a quick update, they did not cancel my order and it was delivered at about 5pm.

Crazy metal sculptures! This is such a cool shop for stuff…read morethat's been imported from across the Rio Grande. They have this niche here- of weird, large scale metal art. They've got some talented guy with a blow torch and a welder who goes around cutting up all sorts of metal into the shapes of life sized giraffes, llamas, palm trees, cacti, agave- you name it. I ended up taking home a skillfully made metal cowboy boot bird house, and a sign that celebrates Iowa State University, of all places. The staff was friendly and answered all sorts of questions. They have some weird merchandise- my favorites were the Groot planters, the llamas, and the clay statues of the head (only) of Michelangelo's David. Wouldn't it look good with a fern in the top of David's head? They have all sorts of giant, weird, beautiful metal art. If this is your thing, they have the goods!
