Being Thai, I'm admittedly very particular--and sometimes hesitant--when choosing a Thai massage place, especially since I've had some excellent massages in Thailand. Sparadise offers a combination of traditional Thai massage techniques along with what I believe are elements of Swedish massage. When Amy asked if I was okay with her stepping on my back (legs and arms too), I was a little hesitant at first, but decided to go with it. I'm so glad I did! She was able to work deeply into some very tight areas and really knew how to release the tension. My mother was equally complimentary of Nok and said she thoroughly enjoyed her massage as well. Beyond the massages themselves, Sparadise is exceptionally clean, and the receptionist/manager was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I want to start by saying that my chocolate pedicure experience and the pedicurist who provided it deserve a consistent 5 stars! The staff here are wonderful, and I truly appreciate their service. The female manager up front is great. Unfortunately, if it weren't for them, I would give this salon 1 star because of my two separate experiences with Bebe (Baby), the manicurist. On both visits, Bebe selected my nail polish color without asking whether it was what I wanted, despite my clearly explaining my preference and showing her the exact color already on my nails. Both times, I ended up with a noticeably different color. For example, I specifically requested light pink nails and left with nude nails today. I even asked her why she applies polish to every single nail without first checking whether the color is acceptable to the client. A simple confirmation before proceeding would prevent this frustration. Additionally, I specifically requested the salon's best manicure package, but rather than explaining the available options or honoring my request, she simply told me I didn't need it. As a paying customer, I should be able to choose the services I want. What bothered me most, however, was her attitude and the way she physically handled my hands. She was rude, grumpy, and unnecessarily aggressive. At one point, she abruptly threw my hand into the air and unexpectedly shoved a hand dryer underneath it. I actually had to tell her to stop being so rough with my hands. She didn't apologize for anything. Regardless of whether someone is having a bad day, customers should never have to tolerate rude behavior or aggressive handling during what is supposed to be a relaxing, luxury salon experience. What makes this particularly disappointing is that these two visits were spaced far apart, yet I experienced the same unpleasant attitude and lack of customer service both times with the same manicurist. I genuinely believe management needs to have a conversation with Bebe about professionalism, listening to customers, respecting their preferences, and treating clients with care. It's unfortunate because the pedicure staff consistently provide a wonderful experience, and their excellent service deserves recognition. I hope management addresses this issue so the manicure experience can meet the same standard.
