It cost me 1200 pesos each jacket suit. That's crazy. I was SCAM. Then while I have not sign the"manual" paper receipt yet, the female staff stated that I will be charge 20% right that moment if I change my mind and not go through the service. She's out of her nind! There was no service yet. Nothing was done yet. MODUS.OPERANDI LIKE THIS IS SAD FOR THE FILIPINOS. I did learn from a friend back in college to always get my pants cut to fit and hemmed and it's been a habit ever since when buying pants to have them altered. I frequented Alterations Plus before when it was along the second floor Gateway hallway near the LRT turnstiles. The area was always a crowded thoroughfare, but a visit to their business was always pleasant. The staff were always cordial and the place smelled of synthetic fruit. :) Plus they always did my pants justice, even if I sometimes got them cut a little higher than they should be and ended up bitin. Bitin is in na naman, so it's all good. They increased their prices through the course of time though, so it was off to find other cheaper places to get my pants done. But even if I did get to pay less to get alterations, I was not satisfied with the work I got and I realized I should have just stuck to Alterations Plus. A true testament to their skill was when I got a good sized hole in a knit pullover and no one else would take it. I was all ready to hike to Kamuning to hunt for a good tailor to put a patch over it, when I thought to bring it to Alterations Plus and they sewed it right up! I now know I will be forever their suki.

I'm a creature of habit. And I especially make it a habit to patronize businesses that do quality…read moreservice and maintain great relationships with their customers. That is why since college, or for a decade now, I still go to Alva Computer and Photocopy Services for my printing and photocopying needs. They may not be the shop that offers the cheapest rate for these services in the Taft Avenue and Vito Cruz areas, but the quality of their finished product makes all the difference. Their "powder xerox" (at Php .60 per page) is of already of print quality (there's none of the usual grey and black smudges on the paper). What's more, they use good quality (read: thick) paper, not those flimsy coupon bonds used by other photocopiers. When you're on a budget and need multiple copies of a document that have to look like the original, just have them print one set and photocopy the rest. It's cheaper that way, and the difference in quality is not that noticeable. Black and white printing would cost you Php 2 per page, more than the usual "piso print", but again, quality spells the difference. Colored printing starts at Php 5, cheaper than in other shops. Aside from printing and photocopying services, the Estrada Branch also offers ID picture-taking and printing, colored photocopying, and poster printing. The shop also doubles as an Internet cafe.

I went to Philcoa and went inside one of the smaller copy shops there to ask around. They initially gave me a quotation of 80 Pesos each then eventually told me they couldn't do it. Since that was a bust, I went to Intermatrix in the same building. I was expecting them to charge more but I was pleasantly surprised that they were actually cheaper. They asked for 60 Pesos per page and they were able to do the job swiftly. I really want to support the little guy but the big chains are big for a reason. They got there by doing something good and sometimes, even better.

Normally, you would think affordable means you would have to sacrifice quality, but there is NO way that VJ7 Printing will deliver a subpar product. I initially contacted their sales representative via email for some price quotes for a project I was working on. He was very helpful in explaining the different types of paper I could print on and the size options that would best fit my budget. After finalizing the design, I sent the finished pdf file to him via email. I don't know how many back and forth emails I sent but the response was always quick! Later on, they were the same printing services who printed my wedding invitations. They looked uh-mazing! The quality was excellent and the colors were so vibrant. What I appreciated is that they sent me proof samples before printing the whole batch just to be sure that there would not be any color matching issues. Also, I love how they involve their clients in their business. When they had the unveiling of their new printers, I was invited to their shop to see how the machines work. They now have paper cutting machine that will slice through reams of paper. They have a die cutting machine and a machine that prints gold and silver ink (super new to me!). Of course, they showed us their professional laser printer. All these new machines meant one thing, better quality prints at a faster turnover rate! Awesome! Talk about great service! They definitely know what they are doing and their customer care is just top notch. So, if you're looking for a printing service (especially for big projects), VJ7 Printing is the place to go! :D

It's not a comfortable walk really, and I know that there's a cheap xerox nearer the flyover (and maybe even somewhere closer I'm not aware of), but the illusion of professionalism and the reality of cool air conditioning is what draws me to Letrato. They do the job well enough, whether I'm getting documents printed, because I forgot to do them at home and I don't want to waste the clinic's precious ink, or if I need to get a lot of stuff photocopied--something I'm sure I'll be hard-pressed to have done at the hole-in-the-wall xeroxes--I'm confident they can get it done. They're cheap enough: two pesos to have something printed, if I'm not mistaken. Though they're a little slow in their payment system. You'd think you can just fork over the cash to the guy who printed your stuff, but no, you have to go through the one cashier that they have. They're no UP Shopping Center, but hey, so few places are.

They're actually a mish-mash of anything computer and internet related, having an internet café and a digital design studio all in one shop. I've brochure-hoarded (one of my guilty pleasures, sue me) one time and I found out they do web design packages, as well as designs related to company branding. They can do your logos, letterheads, IDs, whatever the hell you need to look even more pro in the business world. I haven't exactly tried (or thought about purchasing) those packages though. They can cost a lot for a starting business owner after all. But I did try printing my own digital paintings there. Sometimes, there are problems with the printer calibration, but they do allow printing a sample first so you can request adjustments. It was satisfying nonetheless, and printing my digital paintings here had gotten pretty addicting. I now send them as postcards during the hoidays to friends all over the world, hah!

This place has saved me so many times!…read more There were times in college when some book I needed wasn't available in any bookstore. The only copy was in my school's library. I would run to Copylandia to have it photocopied. When my thesis partner and I had to make hundreds of copies of our survey, we would run here again. And when I needed to make several copies of sequence guides, shot lists and scripts, I'd come here. Just know that there will be times when the place is full of people all waiting for their photocopies. If you don't need it right away, they sometimes allow you to leave it overnight or leave it with them in the morning and come back in the afternoon. But hey, it's cheap and the quality is pretty good.

This Copylandia branch has been with my misery of photocopying event materials and flyers back in…read moremy office secretary days. I can say this branch would've been my favorite photocopying place in all of Ayala. Why? Let me count the ways. One: The staff here are friendly and accommodating. There hasn't been a transaction I've made here that got my blood pressure skyrocketing to the stratosphere. They are fast, and they obviously know their machines well. Two: The line is manageable. More often than not, Photocopying services are flocked by so many people, it takes you super long waiting for your turn. And all the more annoying if you're only going to photocopy one page or two! I've never experienced that in here. You can probably blame their "hiddenness" in Greenbelt 1, which is just convenient to me altogether. Three: They can do bulk photocopying and would even cut to size for you! Of course you would have to ask that as a "favor", so be friendly. Four: They have many choices of paper quality, types and sizes. If you're in need of large photocopying services, this is the place to be. Five: Their price range is....okay, I guess. But it's a mall shop. Expect it to be higher than usual.
